Leather Patchouli by Montale is pure niche luxury. It’s a potent blend of leather, patchouli, and oud that smells like something entirely different. You find yourself asking: when should I wear this? It has serious personality and brutal longevity, lasting over 16 hours on skin with intense projection at first. The quality is top-notch, as expected from Pierre Montale. While it’s not my personal favorite, I recommend trying it because it’s strong and might not suit everyone. Don’t buy it blindly; test it first. It’s a quirky option worth considering.
I wouldn’t recommend buying this blindly; it smells very strong. The first few times I wore it, it reminded me of a stable.

Please note, this has nothing to do with patchouli leaves, chocolate, or vanilla; these are distinct accords that can be confusing. This one is more earthy, with very prominent skin notes and a custard-like touch from the vanilla. Both are masterpieces; I love and adore them; they’re flawless patchoulis.
