Smells like saffron, very oriental and absolutely delicious.
Thanks to a sample from my buddy Jerry Drake (awesome, say hi), I tried it and have to say it’s the worst I’ve ever smelled. Synthetic opening at maximum, smells like a ladies’ hair salon (lacquer, dyes…). Poor projection and longevity. It’s not even worth the supposed 10 euros people say it costs. Sorry, but this isn’t for me. Cheers.
Hi, ARABIAN NIGHTS EDT (see EDP, the black one): it’s the same perfume, the notes are identical. It’s very cheap now, used to cost a lot (still pricey in some shops), but it seems Jesús del Pozo isn’t having much luck except with Halloween (I don’t like that one). I really like this EDT, very current. Oud, sandalwood, rose, and saffron stand out. I consider it a mix. Sillage: moderate; longevity: moderate leaning towards long-lasting. A great score for this excellent fragrance, with a very good and consistent bottle. For those who like oud-style scents. Cheers.
Literally a Spanish ‘Rose Oud’, made with mastery and very good quality. Smells very similar to Armani’s Oud Royal, Kilian’s Incense Oud, or Moresque’s Oroluna; they all share that rose and oud soul, differing only in nuances. From the start, notes of rose and spices, a balanced rose, nothing feminine, with spices and a tiny sweet touch that I love. Soon the oud kicks in, rounding out the opening with slight dirty and medicinal nuances of extraordinary beauty. This is the core: from here on, the blend evolves with patchouli, musk, amber, and labdanum, making the scent sometimes dry and warm, other times resinous, warm, and clean. It perfectly evokes a thousand and one oriental stories. Good performance, not exaggerated, about 7 hours on skin; high projection at the start that drops to moderate in the dry-down, which isn’t bad either. For the price, the performance-to-cost ratio is notable. Ideal for cold or mild climates and for nightwear, though it also works well on a fresh winter morning. Highly recommended for those starting out with Arabic (not Oriental) scents, moderate price, good quality, and Spanish heritage.
I don’t know this EDT, but the EDP isn’t bad. It has lots of oud and woods, like Dark Aoud, not the same but if you’re looking for something similar, this is it.
