Bottled femininity. Soft jasmine and musky neroli create a masterful, elegant floral scent. Amber and cedar are very prominent, with white flowers that transport you to those moments of getting ready for an event: shiny hair, carefully put-on stockings, a new dress, and a perfume to make you feel even more beautiful. Playful notes of lemon, bergamot, orange blossom, vanilla, and honey. Intense touches of tonka, bitter cocoa, coconut, and ylang-ylang. The cheerful and fun Gucci Bloom gives you an idea of the line, but this is a more realistic version. Lasts over 12 hours. Botanicae’s perfumes are top-notch; Patio is no exception. I’ve tried many, and they are true olfactory art. Simply beautiful and delicate. For those curious about neroli, also try L’Interdit by Givenchy, my favorite L’Interdit Rouge Ultimate, the wonderful Elie Saab Le Parfum (original, L’Eau Essentielle, White, Lumiere), and Miu Miu Fleur Argent. Neroli adds creaminess, sweetness, and depth. It’s relaxing, sensual, and enveloping. In ancient times, it symbolized marital fidelity and was used not just in perfumes but also in aromatherapy.

As soon as I tested it, I knew I was going to love this perfume. You just have to smell it to appreciate the quality of the aroma; if you like white florals, you have to try it. Neroli, jasmine, and orris are what will dominate throughout the fragrance’s development. Patio starts with a realistic explosion of neroli and jasmine. The opening is cheerful, fresh, and even bright—a marvel with notes that feel very natural and well-blended. As it dries down, the orris (also known as iris root) takes center stage, making the perfume feel cool, green, and slightly powdery, like an iris flower, while also adding a slight creamy sensation and earthy nuances. The jasmine also evolves significantly; at first, it presents itself as a cheerful, innocent note. Be careful, because after a few hours, you can appreciate how its animal character blooms, and you’ll smell a jasmine that is a bit dirtier and more aggressive. I love the sensation this composition transmits… It’s as if there is a continuous, constant interaction between the neroli and the jasmine. Its performance is correct without going to extremes. It has a standard longevity around 6-7 hours and moderate sillage. Perceptible but not overwhelming. Patio is a perfume to be worn in spring. It will look good in summer, yes, but its potential and where it really explodes is in spring. As for the occasion, it’s very versatile… I think it’s a casual and relaxed scent but at the same time holds a certain minimalist elegance. Whether for a drink on a terrace or a baptism. As I write this review, spring is approaching, and certainly, Patio will be one of my main options for perfuming myself during that season… Spring in a bottle. Unisex? Yes. Quite inclined towards the feminine spectrum but very wearable when worn by a man. Guys, try it at least to have the olfactory experience. So happy to see BOTANICAE, that Spanish niche perfumery, opening up! Although it’s not super famous yet, you can find it in physical stores and there are English reviews. PATIO is from the 2019 EDP collection, followed by the EDT Intenses, where locations are key. It smells super natural, like a patio in Seville in full spring. It’s an incredible olfactory journey, ideal for white floral lovers, starting with a living nature that doesn’t get tiring. All that is reinforced by very realistic green plants and an earthy, woody touch as it dries. It’s naturalness and quality at a fair price. The development is top-notch, interesting, and although it has strength, it doesn’t overwhelm. I hope you enjoy it, because they deserve it.
