Darkbeat lets me try this Lattafa gem that smells like Raghba but without the insane potency. Perfect for winter, rich and delicious, though if you already own the original, this is dispensable. The best part is it’s well-made with care and quality you wouldn’t expect at this price. If you’re looking for a different gourmand, this is your pick: delicious vanilla with a subtle, very wearable oud.

Shahrazad seems like it stepped out of One Thousand and One Nights, but imagine a modern, cultured version telling beautiful stories by the firelight. It’s as if Isak Dinesen traveled to the East, slept in an oasis, and found stories in ancient ruins. A bold oriental presence, woody with pure oud that pulls back just enough so anyone can wear it with grace and daring. It smells like palm trees, dates, and sand under a scorching sun. The dry down is captivating: oud with a happy vanilla and a soft skin note that blends with caramel. All wrapped in an elegance that takes my breath away. It’s for immersing yourself in spells, barefoot dances, and exotic moons. Sweet and woody, it leans more woody over time. Very skin-friendly, great for mild climates. If you dare to try something different, head to the desert shops or infinite carpets: give it a try, it won’t disappoint.

  3. Shahrazad is a dense, spiced, even caramelized oud-vanilla, almost gourmand but without harsh sweetness. Everything is in perfect balance. The opening is a vanilla-oud explosion with spices—a dense, edible vanilla that lasts a breath before the oud reclaims its throne. Then it settles into a linear trail: woody, sweet, spiced, with a rich smoky vibe. It’s not complex; it’s simple yet possesses minimalist, elegant beauty with a touch of exotic flair. Unisex and gorgeous, worthy of a Maharaja, with a certain resemblance to Raghba Wood Intense but finer and more delicate. The packaging is luxurious: a hard box that opens like a book, with lace fabrics that captivate. The bottle is heavy, elegant glass. Only the plastic cap feels out of place, but for the price, no complaints. High performance, excellent longevity, moderate-to-low sillage that makes it perfect for any setting or season. For lovers of oud or vanilla, it’s a 100% recommendation due to its ridiculous price and performance.
