The first perfume where the name and bottle speak for themselves. It has all the scents you might associate with nature and wood. In my opinion, it’s too woody and not very appropriate for young guys.
It’s true, lots of wood, lots of green, and lots of forest after the rain. It’s not bad at all.
I received a 1ml sample and it’s formidable. Now I’ll see how I manage to get the 90ml bottle. It’s very similar to Giorgio Armani Privé Bois D’encens. I loved the soft incense note and the forest wood; it reminds me of a fragrance but I can’t recall which one right now. Excellent work, very masculine.
The perfume is nice, but the longevity and sillage are disappointing; you have to reapply several times.
The perfume isn’t bad, but the poor longevity and trail are a shame. You have to overapply several times for it to count.
Wood… lots of wood. I like it. It smells good and adds depth, it layers well with something fresher. That said, the fixative and longevity aren’t very good. Still, it’s one of the ones I’m missing and I can’t wait to get my hands on it.
It could have been a standout, but it isn’t… Four years ago, I was blown away when I discovered it. It’s good, actually. It’s more spicy than woody and very versatile. The explosion of pepper, nutmeg, and cedar upon application is wonderful, everything is well-balanced. It goes through three phases: a very spicy one, a woody and warm one, and a third woody phase that fades with patchouli and musk. It’s subtle; it doesn’t suffer from excess, but from a lack of staying power. If it lasted longer and projected better, it would be a staple, but it isn’t. Longevity is about 4 hours, with the last 2 hours sitting right on the skin. I don’t understand who voted that the trail is ‘huge,’ but I’d love to know how. I recommend it anyway to enjoy, although the price is abusive. Sometimes it’s cheaper online; if you like ‘Loewe Cedro,’ you’ll love it.
I don’t know if it’s my pH, but on me, it has zero longevity (barely 3 hours even when applied generously) and zero projection (sits right on the skin). It’s a pity because it smells incredible: wood, rain, wet earth with fallen leaves, twigs, and old citrus peels. Out of all the woody scents I’ve tried, this is the most beautiful and natural. That’s why it’s my favorite for solo enjoyment or a winter date. If it weren’t for the duration, it would be my signature. It has to be in the collection for its originality: the most beautiful wood I’ve ever smelled.
What a shame that such rich fragrances, which most people would love, have such poor longevity. With those notes, it should be a standout, but then you’re left wondering ‘WTF?!’. If it lasted longer, it would be a definite must-have, but this brand seems to have bad performance on my skin. As we know, everyone’s scent profile is different, but the aroma is exquisite.
