Meabh McCurtin
Meabh McCurtin was born and raised in Ireland. She studied biochemistry at the National University of Ireland in Galway and, after graduating, moved to the Ecole normale supérieure in Lyon. Her passion for perfumery later took her to Geneva, Amsterdam, Paris, and finally New York. Meabh was mentored by the French master perfumer Dominique Ropion at IFF. She collaborated with artists to create the fragrance Eau d’Amsterdam, which is based on a unique headspace analysis of the leaves and branches of the elm tree. With the Irish company Cloon Keen, she has created several fragrances, including Róisín Dubh, which won the 2019 Fragrance Foundation award for Best New Independent Fragrance. She currently works at IFF.
