Karine Vinchon Spehner’s childhood in Normandy, France, was marked by fragrant memories of her grandfather’s biscuit shop and the picturesque apple orchards of the region. These scents sparked her curiosity about perfumery and led her to pursue a career in the field. Karine enrolled at ISIPCA, the perfumery school in Versailles, to hone her skills and deepen her understanding of the craft.

After completing her education, Karine began her professional journey at Robertet, a fragrance firm, under the tutelage of master perfumer Michel Almairac. Throughout her career, she has created fragrances for brands such as Amouage, L’Artisan Parfumeur, Memo Paris and Brioni. Some of her most popular creations include Amouage Interlude Woman, Amouage Memoir Man, L’Artisan Parfumeur Batucada and the recent Amouage Boundless.

Karine Vinchon Spehner’s perfumes are characterized by an abundance of natural raw materials and a leaning toward amber and woody notes. She especially likes working with patchouli and vetiver, often incorporating these elements into her creations.
