I bought it blind during the pandemic, right when I started falling in love with perfumes. I love the opening with juicy pear and sparkling bergamot; it gives a sense of light. Then it settles into a sweet, clean, warm rose that didn’t convince me at first, but now I’m obsessed with it in many scents, including Zarci. Compared to traditional Idole, the scent is identical (though the original performs better). It’s feminine, daily, and super versatile. It lasts 5 hours on my skin, which isn’t bad for the price. If you like Idole, Zara is recommended, but don’t buy it blind if you hate roses. I saw a deal, so I already have a refill and don’t need the original anymore.
It smells very similar to Lancôme’s Idole. The longevity on my skin is spectacular, wonderful.

Warning: if you don’t like roses, run. The opening is very sharp and powdery. For me, it just smells like rose because that’s my fatal note.
If you don’t like roses, run away; it’s way too sharp and the dry-down smells like baby powder. I only detect rose, probably because of my hatred for the flower.
I was looking for a clone of Idole, which I adore, but I didn’t have the budget, and this option has been a hit. The resemblance is brutal, and it lasts incredibly well on skin (5-6 hours) and on clothes all day. If you like the original, this is a must-have 🩷
I was looking for a clone of Idole, which I absolutely adore, but my budget didn’t stretch far enough. This option is amazing. The resemblance is brutal, and it lasts incredibly long on skin (5-6 hours) and all day on clothes. If you like the original, this is a must-have 🩷
You have to love the rose note, otherwise it’s impossible to get past. It stands out much among the other notes. I smell it very similar to Nina L’Extase 2015.
It’s very similar to the Idole I already own, but it lasts much longer. I recommend it.
It’s very similar to Idole (I had it), but it’s much more long-lasting. I recommend it.
Idole perfumes are of very poor quality; I have Intense and Nectar, and they don’t last on my skin at all, only on clothes. This one, for a lower price, has better performance and flatters me more. Returning to Zarz, the Argentine perfume industry is incredible; they have nothing to envy from imports. This perfume has it all: it makes you feel fresh, feminine, elegant, and distinguished. The longevity for its price is very good; it lasts longer on me in summer than in winter. The rose predominates; at first, it might disgust, it’s not for every nose and shouldn’t be bought blind. I think it’s more praised by men than by women. Longevity 8/10, sillage 7/10, price-quality 10/10. I’m going for my fourth bottle; literally, I’m addicted.
Idole has been hitting rock bottom on quality lately; I have both Intense and Nectar, and they barely last on my skin, only on clothes. This one, for a lower price, performs better and flatters me more. Back to Zarci: the Argentine perfume industry is incredible, nothing to envy from imports. This scent has it all: it makes you feel fresh, feminine, elegant, and distinguished. The longevity for the price is great—it lasts longer in summer than in winter. Rose dominates; at first, it might turn some off. It’s not for everyone and shouldn’t be bought blind. I think it’s praised more by men than women. Longevity 8/10, Sillage 7/10, Value 10/10. I’m buying my fourth bottle; I’m literally addicted.
I love the talc-like quality and the longevity; very good.
It feels more like dense red fruit than flower, sweet like candy, with good projection and lasting a minimum of 4 to 6 hours. It’s perfect for girls aged 18 to 30. I think it’s a dupe of Juliette Has a Gun’s “Juliette” (which costs $150 USD), but this is Cher for $45 USD. Incredible how Argentine perfumery has advanced; there’s nothing to envy from imports. My advice: try it first because it changes a lot over time, and in the end, only the musk remains, as if the flower fades away. Update after a month: it has now macerated and smells sweeter, like red berry and plum caramel. It’s very youthful and strong, perhaps invasive, but ideal for breaking your olfactory routine; for everyday wear, it gets a bit tiring.
It feels less floral, more like dense red fruit (even though I don’t have any), sweet like candy, with good projection and lasting a minimum of 4 to 6 hours. It suits women aged 18 to 30. It feels like a dupe for Juliette Has a Gun’s ‘Juliette’; the difference is JHAG costs $150 and this one $45. It’s amazing how Argentine perfumery has advanced; nothing to envy from big brands. My advice: try it first because it evolves over time; at first, I only smell the base musk and the florals disappear. Updating a month later: it’s mellowed a bit now, smelling much sweeter, like red fruit and plum candy. It’s very youthful but also very strong. I don’t know, I like it even if it’s invasive; it’s great for breaking the ‘perfume routine,’ but it’s tiring for everyday wear.
Oh, I don’t know if it’s a skin chemistry thing, but I’ve tried it and I don’t feel it resembles Idole at all. I sense a very sweet, synthetic, and somewhat undefined scent, which then turns into a herbal smell after a while, but I don’t detect the roses. I didn’t like it 🙁
Oh, I don’t know if it’s my skin, but I tried it and didn’t smell the Idole resemblance. It smells very sweet, synthetic, and undefined, then shifts to a herbal scent, but I didn’t pick up any roses. I didn’t like it 🙁
It’s a shame that for me it smells like a doll. Objectively, it’s sweeter than floral, so a warning for those who don’t like sweet scents. Blindly, I thought it had red berries, but I guess it’s the sweet blend with the tart touch of pear and bergamot. Beyond that soft fruity accord, I only sense sweet plastic. Even though I don’t like it, the longevity is really good.
Unfortunately, for me, it’s one of those perfumes that smells like a doll. Trying to make an objective description that could be useful for others, I’d say it’s a sweeter-than-floral fragrance, or at least I’d warn those who don’t like sweet scents. Smelling it blind, I thought it might have some red berry notes, but I suppose it’s the combination of sweetness and a tart touch from the pear and bergamot. Beyond that soft fruity accord, the only thing I can smell is sweet plastic. And despite not liking it, I have to say its longevity is very good.
Is it a dupe of Idole? I’m not sure, I’d say it’s its younger sibling; it has that DNA, those standout roses, which to me are the most prominent feature. I’ve had Idole in its first edition (I regret throwing away the bottle that never stopped leaking, haha, now they come with a base that holds it better), and honestly, the original had good performance on my skin. This one doesn’t; let’s say Idole lasts about 6 hours on skin, while Cher Zarzi lasts about three hours, being generous. The packaging and the cap design seem awful to me; I feel the elegance of the faceted glass bottle is ruined by a cap that falls apart at the slightest touch. I don’t know, for me the perfume is a whole package; if it had a more discreet cap, in my opinion, it would look more elegant.
It smells like a rose bathed in honey with a touch of jasmine for decoration. It’s super delicate, ideal for daytime: fresh with that spring-summer vibe, nothing heavy. The roses are executed perfectly and you can almost smell the entire accord. However, it gives me a vintage vibe, like a grandma’s perfume; it’s not youthful, more suitable for people 65 and up. CONCLUSION: if you love roses, you’ll love it. UPDATE: I tested it alongside Lancôme’s Idole and they don’t resemble each other at all, which makes sense since this one lacks woods (which give Idole its body and strength). Zarz is simpler and softer (note: it’s a good perfume, but when compared), whereas Idole is much more complex and you can feel all the notes.
To me, it smells super similar to Idole: sweet and fruity roses with musky and fresh undertones. A super casual, signature, feminine, and versatile scent. Perfect for daytime in spring and summer. Simple yet beautiful, elegant and relaxed all at once. Idole is a bit fresher, while this is sweeter—a modern, timeless rose, a good alternative to Lancôme. Medium longevity.
