Viola balances bright, spice-touched top notes with a mossy, resinous base. It is classical in its fougère skeleton but decidedly more opaque and warm in execution.
The opening pairs bergamot, basil, and nutmeg. Bergamot brings a brisk citrus sheen, basil keeps the blend herbal and crisp, and nutmeg introduces a soft, piquant warmth that lingers into the next stage.
In the heart, lavender meets balsam fir and patchouli. Lavender anchors the fougère tradition, while balsam fir and patchouli deepen the composition with a resinous, woody density. The effect is less airy than a classic lavender fougère, and more forest-like.
