  • Imagine a leather bag filled with candies; that’s what this smells like. I don’t detect any green or floral notes, just a bit of musk, perhaps heavily mixed with that distinct Terri vibe—something dirty, like burnt sugar with an indefinable edge. It’s one of my favorites of theirs (: but I’m not sure I’d buy it; maybe if the leather lasted longer, because in the end, it smells like burnt caramel, similar to Douceur Brulee, which I already own.

  • Yadorán d'Vinea

Vertigo Cuir is an enigmatic, cheerful perfume with a bohemian air. It’s not traditional, blending leather and caramel in a unique, vibrant, and enthusiastic way, almost as if it’s ‘slithering’ as it develops. In the bottle, it smells like thick, brick-like leather with a milky sweetness; on the skin, it becomes creamier, with a carbonaceous base and barely perceptible crushed florals. It dries down quickly into a sweet, rough, caramelized musk, like a bag of candies. The green and floral notes are subtle but add dimension. In the dry down, an unannounced hint of lavender calms it down, making it hazy and contrasting with the potent opening. It’s gourmand, far from the dusty rose trend—thick, dry, cold, and milky rather than burnt. The trail is impressive, longevity is moderate, and while it’s not easy to ‘digest’, it ends with an irascible vanilla worthy of mention.
