  I’m dying to own this little perfume. Today a Jafra salesperson sprayed it on my hand as a sample, and the scent lingered there for a good while until I got to work. It smells absolutely delicious; it’s sweet but not cloying. I couldn’t stop smelling the back of my hand for a couple of hours (until I had to touch cleaning products and the scent disappeared).

  There is no ‘mermaid’ note (since mermaids don’t exist, and if they do, no reliable source has ever managed to smell them) unless there’s some aquatic molecule they’ve decided to name in honor of mermaids, in which case we’d appreciate it being declared as ‘sirenol,’ ‘sirenene,’ ‘sirenone,’ or something similar. In the case that the aquatics used here are the normal and ordinary kind, one wonders how much it’s possible to inflate the bubble of declaring non-existent notes on demand with Fragrantica’s full approval.

  I’m obsessed with this perfume, even though it doesn’t last long. To me, it smells like a little cake with lots of milk, covered in caramel and shredded coconut. Super delicious, perfect for this summer heat.

  Okay, thanks to the previous reviews I get an idea of the scent, because otherwise, someone explain to me what a mermaid smells like!!! What did I miss??? At what point does this aroma exist???

  WHAT MERMAID NOTE??? I read in the catalog that it’s a fictional note. Maybe if you tell your little girl it smells like a mermaid, she’ll be excited. That’s why, ladies and gentlemen, don’t get your knickers in a twist. It smells very fruity at first; blackcurrants stand out a lot, then it turns into a salty vanilla similar to coconut. Longevity is at most 4 hours. I highly recommend it if you want to start using sweet-salty perfumes but want to try an affordable option that is in no way overwhelming.

  Bought it out of curiosity since I already love the classic Sweetie and Fantasy, and I absolutely adored it. Wearing it makes me feel like a 90s Barbie. Don’t get fooled by the ‘mermaid’ note; I think it’s that slightly salty touch you can detect. It’s similar to Fantasy with the candy vibe but with salt added. It reminds me a lot of fondant cakes (which I detest), but as a perfume, it’s top-notch. If I feel it’s a bit too heavy for the day—and especially since I live in an extreme heat zone, it’s almost summer, and I keep it under lock and key. If it feels a little overwhelming, I wear it out for an hour or two and then shower because it gives me a slight headache (I don’t know why, but I’m prone to migraines). That doesn’t stop me from liking it.

  Got this as a birthday gift. Smells nice and very vanilla-forward. The downside is it lasts about a breath, but it’s still worth it.
