  A tribute to the Sultan and Oman, with frankincense as the star 🇴🇲. It opens with a dominant frankincense that blends beautifully with flowers, featuring a fleshy rose. It’s not heavy, but it has substance. The drydown brings spices, oud (no cheesy scent), and woods. It’s resinous, spicy, and dry; complex yet accessible. If you don’t like frankincense, this won’t be for you. It’s not the churchy incense of Unum Lavas. Calligraphy Rose is a fresh rose on a marked frankincense base, very different from Roja. Oman has a strong DNA: blindfolded, you’d say it’s Roja. It’s a stable gem after 9 years with minimal tweaks. Medium versatility, unisex with a slight masculine lean. More versatile than it appears. Forget looking for the multicolor flag cap with the Arabic plaque (exotic and pretty). Now it comes with an amber cap and a black building plaque, part of the ‘Gulf Collection’ that later disappeared, though still in production. It’s not popular or trendy on YouTube sponsorship channels. The reviews come from the informal Roja group, where we speak the truth without fear. Ramsey and Kafkaesque (yes, she’s a woman) have praised it. Underrated and one of the few Roja fragrances worth your money. 5/5 🌟
