  An ode to hops. Resinous, powerful, elegant, mysterious, and tenacious are the words that come to mind when I try it. The opening already hints at what’s to come: hop and citrus lasting barely a minute before yielding to a soft peach alongside noble florals (jasmine and rose), which accompany the hop for about 2-3 hours. Then things get darker, with hop and animal, sweet, smoky, and woody notes forming a singular, very well-executed whole. It clings to the skin like few others; I’m still detecting it two days after showering, so moderation with the sprays is key. The projection is notable and lasts about 6 hours, noticeable to people nearby. In terms of performance, it’s in the same category as the famous ‘Blue Beast’. One spray is enough, two is full-on, and beyond that, you’re a public hazard. But, as I mentioned at the start, it’s a perfume centered on hops, a resin I associate with gothic atmospheres (dark and mysterious). Those who don’t like hops should avoid it, but if you do or are a lover of this note, this is possibly one of the best perfumes dedicated to it.
