  At first, I hated this Chocolate Mint, I didn’t like it at all. I was looking for it to gift or swap, but in the end, I kept it. These are the kind that require patience and a calm sniff; after a few days, I’m already wearing it proudly in my collection.

  At first, I HATED it (Chocolate with Mint isn’t to my liking). I looked for a buyer, also for exchange or as a gift, but in the end, I kept it. These are the ones where you have to have patience and let them breathe carefully; after a few days, I already had it proudly in my collection.

  Star Men by Fragrance World, a true hidden gem. I bought it with low/zero expectations, and now I struggle to tell which arm is the Mugler A*Men and which is the clone. The opening is a bit chaotic between mint and coriander with sweet notes; the initial part is a bit weak, but after 5 minutes it’s already in the dry down of the original. Up close and from a distance, it’s identical (with a capital I). The current L’Oreal versions of Mugler I’ve tested have barely more quality but less duration than this Star Men; a pity for the price they charge the public (a scam, to be more accurate). The dry down reminds me of the versions made by Clarins back in 2011-2017, under the Thierry Mugler logo: a coffee with chocolate and semi-burnt milk, wrapped in a burnt tar-rubber that some call it. For $22, it’s the best they can have on the shelf; surprising the level of precision in notes and development; have we entered a new era? Jacques Huclier would be surprised by this tribute in EDP version. Duration and projection to be edited soon. Note 9/10.

  Star Men is a very well-executed clone of Mugler’s A*Men. I agree with the previous review mentioning that its opening is a bit chaotic, but in its dry down we find 90% similarity to the inspired aroma, and that’s quite good. Its performance isn’t outstanding, reaching about 6 hours. However, the original Mugler fragrance’s duration isn’t outstanding either, so I consider this is fine. The quality-price ratio of Star Men is unbeatable. If you’re a fan of gourmand scents with that nineties and nocturnal character, this fragrance is for you. I recommend it without hesitation.

  I’ve been smelling this scent sporadically since I was a KID, of course the ORIGINAL “A*MEN by MUGLER” (1996), and this one seems like a great DUPE. Curiously, I’ve always associated it with a GRANDPA or someone quite mature, not by chance, but because most people wearing it were like that. It has a very marked EIGHTIES and NINETIES vibe, however, I feel it’s perfectly TIMELESS since nowadays there are many aromatic styles of this CALIBRE, so SWEET and SPICY, which they call “GOURMAND”. And this PERFUME gives you the sensation of smelling CHOCOLATE, MINT, COFFEE, and even MILK among many other NOTES; it’s quite deep and somewhat COMPLEX. Those who like CACAO and COFFEE will love it, for sure. On the other hand, it seems like a SCENT for COLD, RAINY, or MILD days and nights; it doesn’t seem to be a FRAGRANCE for EXTREME HEAT seasons, although one uses what they FEEL at that moment. If I were to use it in SUMMER, I’d prefer it in the morning or at night without a doubt. This SCENT is practically one of the PIONEERS in following that very SWEET-EDIBLE trend, which is ABUNDANT nowadays. It makes you crave a piece of CHOCOLATE CAKE with COFFEE in the morning especially. Years ago I didn’t LOVE it, but nowadays I do, and quite a lot. 9/10.🤎🍫🍰☕🥛

  Incredible fragrance. At first, it didn’t convince me, but after trying it a couple of times and letting it sit for a few days, I can’t stop using it. Some say it’s only for nights or extreme cold; I’d say it’s a perfect fragrance for daily use in autumn/winter, maybe in spring for colder days, since it’s not a heavy scent, making it suitable for everyday wear.

  Star Men is an amber woody men’s fragrance that captivates with its lavender and mint notes, offering a fresh and invigorating opening. The vibrant, energetic heart is created thanks to fruity and spicy notes, along with coriander and green notes. Bergamot and caramel add a sweet and citrusy touch, while patchouli and honey add a rich, enveloping depth. A creamy, warm base with notes of milk, cedar, jasmine, and lily of the valley, with hints of coffee and vanilla. A sophisticated finish with a tonka bean, benzoin, amber, sandalwood, and musk accord that leaves an irresistible and long-lasting trail. The performance is magnificent; it lasts on skin for over 8 hours, with a heavy trail in the first hour and moderate projection for several hours more. It’s a dense fragrance that causes anosmia; even if you don’t perceive it, others do, so be careful with the sprays. Star Men is a magnificently achieved dupe of the A*Men icon by Thierry Mugler, in its original version before being reformulated. It’s a strong, gourmand, sweet, fresh, and woody aroma, ideal for men with character and personality. It’s sensational for nighttime use and in cold climates. Perfect for informal gatherings, outdoor events, and concerts. Its strong personality and presence make it suitable for men who aren’t afraid to stand out and don’t care what others think.

  At first, it took me a while to process it, but I was really intrigued by that mix of fresh mint and chocolatey coffee that confused me. Then I started to get used to it, and now I absolutely love it. The fact that this cost me only $14 in my country is insane.
