Summer-appetizing because it’s marine, woody, and resinous. It evokes a beach with vegetation and a salt-soaked forest evaporating in the sun. Its beauty lies in the contrast between the resins and the chemical notes of the sea, a unisex, perennial, and familiar result that takes us to summer landscapes. For me, it evokes the Landes, but it’s an easy, universal scent that everyone would like. Ideal for lovers of resinous, forest, and marine notes.
Mixes familiar things: Kenzo’s misty violets, the fungal incense from Hermann to Mes Cotes, and the pickled sandalwood of Santal 33. I prefer not to use references. It’s fresh and acidic, like pure sandalwood oil, but not heavy because it dissolves in aquatic breezes. As it dries, the violet adds a damp, earthy, and rainy touch.
Mixes familiar notes: misty violets, acidic incense, and pickled sandalwood. But I’d describe it better without references. It’s fresh and acidic, like pure sandalwood oil—neither heavy nor aggressive. It dissolves into aquatic breezes, and as it dries, that hazy violet earthiness makes it more earthy.
Marine, fresh, with a woody base. After a day full of adult life disappointments, like seeing ignorant professionals or reviewers without spelling, it’s curious to want to return to something like Sous Le Pont Mirabeau instead of giving up. It’s not the fifth wonder of the sea, but it doesn’t seek banality. It hits sharp, chemical at first, with an ozonic and green vibe. Then comes the woody sea, not from a dock but from a forest meeting the beach. It reminds me of the Galician rías or Asturias. Maybe it evokes Apollinaire’s poem for the French. It’s not difficult or bland, versatile for heat where it projects well; in the cold, it fades. I liked it, recommend trying it but don’t buy blindly.
Santal 33 with fig, spot on. The last one from ELDO left me indifferent. It performs just like the original, but there’s a Zara, Energetically New York, that smells very similar. In the end, it’s a bit boring.
Fresh, marine, and woody, it smells clean. It has a very designer aroma, as if Kenzo Homme and The Matcha had a child. Longevity and trail are moderate.
Beautiful, simple, and lovely, though brief. It falls short of other scents from the house like Frustration or Experiment, which have that sticky, resinous, oil-and-turpentine DNA. The pink pepper lingers for a breath, waking things up at first, but then we move into that tactile, sleepy universe of freshly painted cupboards and brushes stained with linseed oil. It’s almost photorealistic: an open window in June at a French cottage painting, with a young fig tree. A good mix of memories. Anyone who’s painted in spring with an open window knows what I’m talking about. Intimate projection, dry with a bearable sweetness, but the longevity is questionable, as is the case with almost everything from ELDO, which is a shame.
Sous le Pont Mirabeau is pretty, simple, and precious. It has that sticky, resinous DNA of the house, with turpentine and oils. Pink pepper lasts a breath, waking you up at first, then refreshing before plunging us into a tactile, sleepy universe: freshly painted drawers, paintbrushes stained with linseed oil. It’s almost photorealistic, like a window onto a June day in a French studio with a young fig tree. A nice blend of memories for anyone who’s painted in spring. Intimate projection, dry down to a wearable sweetness, though longevity is questionable, as is the case with almost everything from ELDO.
I tried this perfume and barely sensed any marine notes. Having tried Moncler Pour Homme and Santal 33, I’d say this Etat leans more in that direction. It smells of sandalwood and woods, with something extra that sets it apart, but I don’t get a marine vibe or associate it with Kenzo EDT Intense. Sous Le Pont Mirabeau is soft, kind, with moderate projection and good longevity. It has body, wraps you in warmth without feeling wintery, and is versatile. Perfect for the office or enclosed spaces since it’s not bothersome. I really liked it and wouldn’t hesitate to buy it if there’s an opportunity. If you like Santal 33, you’ll definitely like this.
I don’t get much marine vibe; it leans more towards Moncler Pour Homme or Santal 33. It smells of sandalwood and woods with something extra that sets it apart. It’s soft, gentle, with medium projection and decent longevity. It has body and wraps you in a warm halo, perfect for the office or enclosed spaces without being annoying. If you like Santal 33, you’ll surely love this.
It’s a pleasant marine-green-woody perfume that feels commercial. To me, it’s a bit bland, very different from other ELDO creations I’ve tried. Although the scent is very pleasant and easy to wear, it’s absolutely unisex.
It’s a marine-green-woody perfume that smells a bit commercial. Compared to other things from the brand I’ve tried, it feels a little flat. That said, the scent is pleasant and easy to wear, totally unisex.
While it might seem like the most ‘normal’ choice in the ELDO family, it has a magical touch that makes it both original and easy to wear. The balance between the fig note and that aquatic-ozone vibe is top-notch. What really surprises me is how long it lasts; I’ve had clothes with that salty scent days after just two sprays. Hard to imagine anyone not enjoying it.
