In my opinion, it’s an ode to the rose: a tremendously opulent, high-quality, very dense note. It has a 20% concentration (Pure Perfume) and blends from the start with resins and wood, giving it even more body, but to my nose, the rose absolutely dominates from beginning to end. It reminds me of ‘Rose Anonyme’ by Atelier Cologne, but this one by Tauer has more ‘steroids,’ perhaps more quality or at least more body. It doesn’t evolve much, but its performance is exceptional: notable sillage and excellent longevity with few sprays. From the same line, I liked Vanille Flash more, although I’m more inclined toward tobacco than vanilla and felt this one had a bit more variety (though it doesn’t really throw either). As for gender, it’s hard to evaluate; I think it’s cultural and depends on education and advertising. In Arab cultures, pure rose is considered masculine, while in the West, it’s associated with femininity. I have no problem wearing it and see it as unisex, even though many will say it’s feminine. Very good fragrance in quality, but if you don’t like dense, deep roses, perhaps a bit one-note, abstain.
For those who hate floral scents and specifically roses: run, it’s the atomic bomb of roses, the most intense and sweet I’ve ever known. It has a gelatinous sensation that makes it unique, a rose so natural it feels like smelling a real bouquet. It suits women better; I only wear it on my wrist to relax. Another superior creation by Mr. Tauer, with whom I had the pleasure of speaking and who is quite kind. Jorge Elizalde, Xalapa, Veracruz, Mexico.
Talking about Rose Flash is hard because I’m in love and my objectivity is clouded. Since I apply it, my nose is having an orgasm: that delicate, wonderfully caramelized rose makes me want to bite my lip and bury my nose in my skin, though it’s not necessary because the trail is wonderful. It’s not very complex, but the combination of notes makes it excellent, almost celestial; I could swear it has amber touches even though it’s not on the pyramid. I wore it today with great joy and got six compliments in less than an hour. It’s not cheap, but its quality justifies the price. Treat yourselves to the opportunity to smell it. It’s unisex, but for me, it carries a more feminine weight. Sillage, longevity, and fragrance: 10.
A delicious and exquisite fragrance that screams elegance and sophistication. I met it with a mini sample and wow, it’s incredibly potent: one drop is noticeable from a distance, the trail is amazing, and the longevity needs no mention. It opens with a pure, robust, opulent, and velvety red rose, with an earthy, green touch reminiscent of resins. After ten minutes, it softens, leaving a rose with amber (an undeclared note, but it’s there). In the end, it smells of cooked and sweetened red berries, a warm, unique sweet bouquet. A fantastic fragrance worth enjoying.
I tried it as a decant. While it leans more feminine and I wouldn’t recommend it for men, it’s a marvel for a woman. Like most of Andy Tauer’s creations, he didn’t miss here. Rose Flash is one of the best florals I’ve ever tried: its rose hits you straight in the face, and with just three sprays, the projection floods the room. A fragrance that captivates.
