I don’t smell those fruits mentioned on Fragrantica within minutes. It sounds familiar, maybe from Jacques Bogart or another brand. It smells classic and formal. Up until now, I don’t like it as much as Arabian Nights. I’ll see how it evolves and let you know.
I’m using it again and I definitely detect the fruits and tonka bean. However, that musky note sounds synthetic to me, like other fragrances. The projection is medium-low and the longevity is questionable. I still prefer its twin brother, Arabian Nights.
What a find! I met this years ago alongside Arabian Nights and Jacques Bogart, knowing nothing about them. At first, it was a disaster; it smelled like nothing I expected. Prejudices kill in perfumery… I wore it for years without understanding why. I found it cheap and gave it a try. It reminds me of Cacharel’s Nemo; if you test them together, the resemblance is brutal, though Riviera is sweeter. If you like Nemo, give this a shot. It’s an ignored gem; almost no one knows it or what it smells like. You have to buy it blind since there are no testers. Cardamom, tonka, dried fruit, and nutmeg with a subtle wood base. Intense and intoxicating, but short-lived: it fades in six hours, but while it lasts, it’s pure joy. It’s very synthetic, but I love it. It smells different and offers something that’s no longer around. Recommended if you enjoy tonka, cardamom, and sweetness without it being overwhelming.

I didn’t like it at all… it’s a cousin of Bogart Pour Homme, and that one is a total turn-off for me, way too cloying. At least it only cost me ten bucks, so it’s hardly a loss.
First time wearing it and it didn’t grab me: it stays glued to the skin. Smells nice, but that’s about it. Reminds me of Caron Pour Homme with lavender and musk, but more synthetic. Strange, because Bogart usually has more punch.
