It’s a super curious perfume, blending a classic Italian vibe with something young and fun. The base is a milky white musk with clean incense, creating the perfect canvas for bold notes of anise and fruit that smell indulgent, sweetened, and slightly baroque. The opening is the most fun part: the fruits and ginger take over with freshness and flavor, calming down the rest. As it dries, those notes fade, leaving a musky, linear scent. It has a full-bodied presence, highlighting the creamy musk and an anise that can get you tipsy; I don’t wear it daily for fear of getting too sweet, but regularly in fall and winter to brighten the day. After all this time, I’m still undecided if it’s elegant or casual, but that’s its peculiar charm: it’s both. It lasts a solid 6-8 hours, but its trail is tricky: sometimes it seems to disappear and then comes back with a force. In short, it’s moderate, though this can change.
