  Red Shoes put me on the right track. It’s one of those ‘fruity-chouli’ perfumes that usually get a bad rap, but I absolutely love it. Just a heads-up: don’t buy it blindly. It’s potent, very personal, and quite sweet. Right out of the bottle, it hits you with a blast of red berries and grapefruit juice, almost like a thick jam. Then, the berry-patchouli combo blends together and turns out much better. Yes, there’s a synthetic note that lingers throughout (it’s not the fruit part) and can be a bit off-putting at times. It also has rose and a spicy touch. In the end, the musk cleans everything up and lets it breathe. It has a strong presence, though it’s not super elegant due to the sweetness. The trail is brutal and lasts over 12 hours. I already have Royal Orchid by Theodoros Kalotinis in this category, but this one has a more mentholated patchouli, making it friendlier for those who aren’t fans of patchouli. So I wouldn’t buy it right now, but I liked it enough. In short, another great proposal from the house that surprised me. Scent 7.5/10, Longevity 10/10, Sillage 8.5/10, Value 8.5/10, Versatility 7/10, Packaging 7.5/10. Would I buy it again? No, I didn’t end up buying it.
