  The notes are incorrect; that list is for Prolixe, not Outrecuidant. Outrecuidant opens with a juicy pineapple, not excessively sweet. Grapefruit appears on the website, and while I don’t detect it clearly, I’m not surprised it’s there to balance the pineapple’s sweetness and add acidity. Over time, it remains slightly citrusy and fruity, but gains some spice from the saffron without being overpowering. As it dries down, it feels fruity and citrusy, with patchouli and a touch of leather and oud (it has a camouflaged oud in the base) that mysteriously smells almost soapy, yet has enough depth to not be bland or too ethereal. To me, it’s clean and a great fragrance for the winter-to-spring transition. It’s not the eighth wonder in terms of sophistication or complexity, but it smells great, is pleasant, and easy to wear. Plus, it has a unique twist. Would I buy it? Yes, it’s my favorite in the ‘En apart’ collection.

  Mont Blanc Individuel with revised and more expensive notes. It’s not a clone, but I definitely notice the similarity. Obviously higher quality, and in this case, more oriental, woody, and darker than the original Individuel. If you’re a true fan of Individuel, go for this one; you’ll love it.

  Of all the ones I own from this brand, this is my favorite. It’s fruity but distinct from the typical sweet feminine scent; it’s a pink oud combo that reminded me of Jupiter by Electimuss. Saffron, cardamom, pineapple, and white flowers work wonders. As it dries down, the base becomes more amber and earthy. At the 30-minute mark, it hits its peak: that sweet amber blend with a worked leather note that adds elegance and magnetism. In the dry down, I detect labdanum, patchouli, leather, and woods. Lasting power is solid, about 10 hours with six sprays; the trail is strong for the first hour before settling. Very versatile for all seasons except very cold climates. Best dressed up, unisex, mature, ideal for ages 30+. Super recommendation. Scent: 9.5/10 Trail: 8.5/10 Projection: 9.0/10 Longevity: 8.0/10
