Descripción

Nocturnes de Caron is an aldehydic floral fragrance for women, created by the house Caron in 1981. The nose behind this composition is Gerard Lefort. The top notes reveal aldehydes, neroli, rose absolute, and orange; the heart unfolds with ylang-ylang, nardos, and jasmine; while the base notes close the olfactory pyramid with vetiver, sandalwood, and musk.

I only have a miniature of this jewel; I loved it and would buy it again, but unfortunately it seems to be disappearing, what a shame.

  • Delicious perfume. At first, it smells a bit soapy due to the aldehydes, but soon the rose and wood emerge mixed in an exquisite way. Definitely a work of art. It might have a nuance similar to Chanel No. 5 or Coco Chanel as it evolves on the skin. It projects class and distinction. What luck to find a sealed bottle in a shop exactly like the photo! Now I’m its happy owner and I’ll treat it like gold. Moderate to strong sillage, lasting about 8 hours on the skin.

  • I love it! It’s a treasure impossible to find here in Guatemala. I’ve searched everywhere and it doesn’t exist. It’s the most delicious perfume I’ve ever encountered in my life. I would kill to own it.

  • Delicate opulence that pays homage to its name. A composition orchestrated like Chopin’s Nocturne Op.9 No.2: effervescent floral aldehydes with sweet orange and neroli. Ylang-ylang shines, while subtle white flowers add sophistication. It shares a certain connection with Van Cleef’s First due to the aldehydes, but this is lighter, centered on orange and ylang. Unlike Chanel N5, which is more intense in civet and iris with a musky touch, Caron keeps everything subtle like a quiet Chopin piece without losing impact. The fruity and floral aldehydes dominate, giving way to an ambered vanilla with musk. Jasmine and neroli get overshadowed by neroli and ylang, though rose appears more present on my skin. Woods like sandalwood and vetiver add richness without stealing the spotlight. An exquisite, little-known floral aldehyde that’s worth seeking out. Review of the black-capped bottle from the late 90s: optimal longevity, fine and elegant scent.

  • It’s the definitive perfume for me, crafted with mastery that leaves nothing to be desired. It’s a liquid jewel, unmatched and perfect. I close my eyes and I can already smell it. So distinguished, elegant, and feminine that words fail. I’d love for them to produce it exactly as is, unchanged, so it continues to exist. If anyone knows where to get it, please let me know.
