  • This fragrance deserves a more detailed review. Is it exotic citrus? No, it’s a distinct take on yuzu. It opens with a minty citrus boosted by natural lemon verbena and fresh basil. Minutes later, the yuzu fades in intensity as fig takes over, like biting into a freshly picked fresh fig. Then pistachio and a fruity sweetness join in to round everything out. The spices are barely noticeable, and the woods, especially sandalwood, emerge at the end. No intrusion; it’s fresh, refined, and subtle. Projection is moderate to low (more noticeable in heat) and lasts 6 to 7 hours on my skin: strong projection for the first hour, then a gradual decline until it becomes skin-scent. In short: a unique yuzu take, enjoyable, wearable, and excellent quality.

  • The Caron house, founded in 1902 by Ernest Daltroff, started as a haberdashery and always specialized solely in perfumery, unlike Chanel or Dior. Since 1998, it has been under Patrick Alès, the famous hairdresser, and features master perfumer Richard Fraysse. Yuzu Man is fresh, summery, and comforting. The yuzu here isn’t aggressive like in others; it starts intense with verbena, then turns sweet and gentle with fig, honey, and soft flowers that give a soapy, relaxing feel. The dry down is almost aquatic, with sandalwood, calone, and musk, evoking a minimalist, meditative Japanese vibe. The ingredients are exquisite and nothing artificial. The downside is that the sillage is extremely low and longevity is moderate—even with heavy application, it stays right on the skin. It’s unisex, suitable for all ages and occasions, and even works as a baby cologne.

  • This fragrance is a handful of pure energy. Perfect for feeling fresh and clean, it smells like Nenuco for men.

  • Caron is a niche brand à la Guerlain, always focused solely on perfumes and beauty. Yuzu Man moves away from the classic 1934 formula to be fresh and lightly fruity. It kicks off with a green, fresh yuzu, not as sharp as in Issey, thanks to the lemon verbena and basil. Then it calms that acidity and fig notes emerge, all set against a background of cedar and sandalwood that gives off a classic barbershop vibe with a modern twist. The ingredients smell high-quality, but the performance is weak: it lasts about three hours with moderate-to-low projection. Still, it’s super comfortable for summer; if you reapply, you feel fresh all day.

  • Caron is a niche brand in the style of Guerlain, exclusively focused on perfumes and beauty. Yuzu Man moves away from the classic 1934 formula to be fresh and slightly fruity. It opens with a green, crisp yuzu that’s not as sharp as in Issey, thanks to the bergamot and basil. Then it calms that acidity with fig notes, all built on a cedar and sandalwood base that gives off a classic barbershop vibe with a modern twist.
