Black and green. At first it smells like cognac, but on skin it turns green, toasted, floral, luminous, and woody. It evokes dry earth, sea lavender, and chamomile. It’s my hometown, summer, the rocks and the stream, the cicadas and the sun. It captures the walk along a scrubby trail in the Mediterranean mountains perfectly. Lavanda stands out at the end. On skin it lasts more than 8 hours, which is a lot for a natural perfume. It doesn’t project much after the first hour and isn’t a magnet for compliments, but if the perfume is for yourself, this is perfect: it brings me back to wild nature.
