I’ve wanted this from the start, but fate played against me, and I could only get it at a crazy price. After a mess with Fragrantica and a lost package, I finally snagged it cheap, and now I wear it with pleasure. It starts powerful: resinous rose, spicy, with saffron and medicinal hints. It smells like Moroccan luxury, a rich sheikh, very Arab, sometimes reminding me of Al Haramain’s Maze. Then the rose drops, and the original Raghba emerges: vanilla-wooded and incense-drenched, creamy and sweet. Here in the Classic, everything is more controlled; the vanilla doesn’t dominate as much—woods and incense take center stage, especially a smoky, woody note, but always with that sweet, vanilla seal of Raghba, adding a very elegant floral accord. As it dries, it settles just like the original, leaving a woody and sweet impression that’s enchanting. It’s more formal, elegant, and refined than the original, with a classic, masculine cut that makes it less sweet and more distinguished. In short, it’s a floral version, less vanilla-forward, and more woody and incense-heavy. The performance is beastly, lasting over 10 hours with a strong trail, then dropping to moderate but without any flaws. It’s great for cold or mild climates and perfect for night. If you’re running from extreme heat, this is ideal; if you’re looking for something to show off on a cool night, it works wonders. If you couldn’t handle the sweetness of the original Raghba, here’s something more refined; if you’re hunting for wood, sweetness, smoke with a floral touch, look no further—the quality-to-price ratio is unbeatable. Highly recommended.
I’ve wanted this from the start, but fate played against me, and I couldn’t try it until I found it on sale. The opening is rose, resinous, and spicy, with saffron and medicinal hints; it smells like a sheikh, like luxury, and like someone with money. It’s very Arab, reminding me of Al Haramain’s Maze. Then the rose fades, and the original Raghba appears: vanilla-wooded and incense-drenched, creamy and sweet. Here, everything is more contained; the vanilla doesn’t rule, woods and incense stand out, especially a smoky, woody note, but with that sweet, vanilla seal of Raghba, plus an elegant floral touch. As it dries, it resembles the original closely: woody and sweet, very pleasant. It’s more formal, elegant, and refined than the original, with a classic, masculine cut that makes it less sweet and more distinguished. In short, it’s a floral version, less vanilla-forward, and more woody and incense-heavy. The performance is extraordinary, lasting over 10 hours with a strong trail, then dropping to moderate but without any flaws. It’s for cold or mild climates, ideal for night. If you’re running from extreme heat, it’s perfect for a cool night where you can shine. Raghba Classic is another Lattafa gem packed with personality and strength—a beautiful touch of the Far East to spice up your collection and explore the unique quirks of this special Emirati house. My take starts from the Raghba Eau de Parfum: just like its sibling, it exudes passionate sweetness (especially upon first spray), wrapped in red curtains and distant oases. It’s Eastern through and through, yet it stands out because while it has a very marked sweet base, it leans more into wood and oud, always in that Emirati style—a suede-like shoe store oud. It shares similarities with Oud Mood, but stays true to the Classic’s foundation with a slightly alcoholic top note that fades away in the heart. It quickly shifts into a less aggressive, yet much more masculine environment. I recommend it to those who felt the traditional Raghba was just sugar but loved its vibe; here it is, a more mature and manly Raghba, exactly as Darkbeat noted. This scent focuses more on oud, woods, and the sheer imperative of the East in pure Lattafa style, with their unmistakable signature. Once you’ve tried several from this house, you’ll recognize them instantly on your nose; they’re a wonder to experiment with. I know the Western nose might not be ready for these strong-personality concoctions, but they’re perfect for sampling. As a European with feet firmly on the ground, I’ve gotten into this brand with flying colors. I advise and invite you to have experiences that go beyond our borders; I firmly believe lovers of olfactory adventures should give them a try. Raghba Classic suits everyone if we understand that perfumery is about traveling between magical moments and places; this Lattafa will take you to a luxurious shop in the desert—warm and sensual. Thanks, friend Darkbeat, for many wonderful hours spent with your treasures.
