  • Easy to wear, somewhat serious but without surprises. I’d give it a 7 for semi-formal or casual occasions.

  • Mercedes Benz Select is a woody fragrance with a forest vibe. It opens fruity, like red berries, probably from blackcurrants, and has a smoky touch reminiscent of Club de Nuit Intense. After a few hours, the woody and amber notes rise; you can smell the ambroxan but it’s not annoying. From then on, it stays the same. It works well for the office, exuding seriousness and authority. I don’t see it as very youthful, but it’s versatile, not heavy, and suitable for any season. It lasted well on my skin for about 10 hours, though the projection was close to the skin. If you catch it at a good price, it’s a great alternative to CDNI (for those who like it); otherwise, owning both is redundant.

Another clone of Creed Aventus. I stopped at a Mercedes Benz store and tried this, then at another perfumery I tried Loewe Esencia EDP. Both are very similar, but Select is more aromatic at the start, while the other is woodier. After three hours, Select had completely vanished, no trace left, whereas Esencia is still there after 5 hours. The price difference is astronomical, and Loewe justifies its merits.

The ambroxan gives it that weird vibe, like old books and ink, made into perfume but addictive. Maybe it reminds you of Armaf’s Nuit a little. I’d call it fruity, woody, and damp earthy. Is it good? Yes, but different, which is why I bought it. I won’t repurchase because I have others on my list and they’re expensive :/.

  • Starts elegant with woods and a soft ambroxan, nothing like the annoying version in Sauvage. After 20-30 minutes, the pineapple note kicks in… where does it come from? Same thing happens with Zara Vibrant Leather and Mont Blanc Explorer. It’s the most faithful clone of Vibrant Leather (lol, it came out before Zara’s). Both last very little, maybe 2 hours max if you hold your nose close. But for the price, which doubles Zara’s, my vote goes to Jerome Epinette.

  • Fresh as lemon, smells almost identical to Armaf’s CDNI, but the trail and longevity are a letdown.

  • For daily use and the office, since everyone likes it. It has no longevity; it disappears from the skin in 3 hours, leaving barely a memory. But for the price, it’s worth it. Using it 2 or 3 times a day, you end up smelling good and happy. Haha. 6.5/10.

This belongs to the Aventus, CDNI, Vibrant Leather family, etc. A very rich aroma, not invasive, with a good sillage in the opening. I’d use it for the office.

It’s identical to Zara’s Vibrant Leather but with much better longevity. I applied it at 5:30 PM without expecting it to last more than four hours, and the next day at 8 AM there was still a trace on my arm after over 14 hours. That said, it projects well only for the first three hours; afterward, it stays close to the skin.

It’s identical to Zara Vibrant Leather but with better longevity. When I first applied it at 5:30 PM, I had no hope it would last more than 4 hours, but I was greatly surprised: the next day at 8 AM there was still a trace on my arm, having passed more than 14 hours. That said… it only projects well for the first 3 hours, after which it stays close to the skin.

  • I don’t know Aventus, but I can say without a doubt it reminds me of Zara Vibrant Leather. The Mercedes-Benz one is citric throughout the entire life of the perfume; the Zara one is more smoky and tight. But obviously, it’s the same path as the Zara one. You could say they’re almost identical to less experienced noses. The Zara one is stronger in the opening, but halfway through its life (approx. 4/5 hours) it fades quickly and sits close to the skin. In contrast, the Mercedes-Benz one lasts a few more hours without issues before fading around the seventh hour. But I’d probably go with the Zara one because it’s the same proposition, just a bit more interesting, and although it doesn’t last as long, you can reapply without fear due to its quality-to-price ratio. If the Zara one lasted 8 hours, it would be one of my favorites. Hopefully, they can improve the performance one day. Scent: 8/10 Longevity: 7/10 Projection: 5/10 Sillage: 6/10 Value: 3/10 Blind Buy: 7/10 Season: Warm climates, summer.

I know Aventus, and I can say they are very, very similar. Mercedes-Benz Select smells wonderful and behaves very well. It doesn’t have as much of that smoky-citrus scent as Aventus, but it does have a slight touch of it. I really like it. As for longevity, nothing to envy from Aventus; I’d even say it’s better, at least in my case. As for price, it’s unbeatable.

  • It’s an absolute treat that smells like Creed Aventus or Vibrant Leather; if you love that DNA, it’s a luxury and, for me, Mercedes’ second-best perfume.

  • This fragrance is exquisite. It reminds me of Creed Aventus; Vibrant Leather is a supremely versatile and pleasant type of perfume. If you like that DNA, this is a luxury for me and the second-best perfume from Mercedes.

My favorite was Zara Vibrant Leather, which even outperformed Aventus until they changed the formula. Before, Mercedes girls would come up to smell my cologne; now, with that sharp, strong, non-sweet grapefruit note, they grimace and ask me to back off. I bought this as an alternative to the old Zara version, and it’s flawless: a bit sweeter now but with better longevity. If you like the fresh side of Aventus, it’s a safe buy.

My favorite was Zara Vibrant Leather over Aventus until they changed the formula. Before, girls would come up to smell me, but with the new version, the loud, strong grapefruit note without sweetness makes people grimace and ask me to back off. I bought this as an alternative to the old Zara and it’s flawless: now it’s a bit sweeter but with better longevity. For those looking for the fresh side of Aventus, it’s a safe buy.

  • Excellent perfume, with the Creed Aventus DNA. I like it more than Mont Blanc Explorer because it has better fixation and longevity, and more than CDNI because I feel it’s less overpowering. That smoked pineapple smell from Aventus is felt here even though it’s not declared. It’s a fragrance that’s a joy to wear and makes people want to smell you. Tremendous Mercedes Benz fragrance. I have the Intense which is good too, but this Select is much better. Fully recommended.

  • One of my favorite fragrances. Excellent performance and exquisite aroma, basically it’s a sharp bergamot, a certain fruity touch, and a patchouli base. Something mature but modern at the same time. A 10.

  • Simply spectacular, totally on the path of Creed Aventus and of excellent quality. With about 6 to 8 sprays it’s perfect.

  • Rich fragrance. The other day I tested it with 5 sprays and it lasted 7-8 hours on skin, good projection for 2 hours and a couple of compliments. I’ll add it to my collection. Rating: 8/10.

Good perfume, I bought the tester version because I didn’t want to spend more than $25. I use it for work, spraying more than usual. It’s always a pleasure to apply scents so I don’t have to use other fragrances. Lasts 6-8 hours, projects to about half a meter. The dry down is identical to other clones and inspirations, but the opening is a bit more acidic, citrusy, dominated by lime with a very fresh touch.

I took advantage of the hot sale in Argentina, paid $30 for 50ml (it’s cheap here). I loved it, it’s an improved version of Club de Nuit Intense, they fixed that disgusting opening of the black beast, now it’s subtler and more versatile. Smells super good, it doesn’t declare pineapple but I can smell it throughout the fragrance. I put 3 sprays on my wrist and it lasted 6 hours, super satisfied, worth it.

  • Beautiful fragrance, inspired by the Creed Aventus DNA. Although it doesn’t have smoked pineapple, they are super similar; the difference is that Aventus goes for woody while this one goes for refreshing fruity. The opening smells like Zara’s Vibrant Leather. It’s not an Aventus clone, rather it’s a blend of Mont Blanc Explorer with Vibrant Leather, with a slight improvement in longevity. Longevity depends on the weather: in heat it lasts 6 hours, in cold it doesn’t reach 4. Projection is moderate for the first hour and then stays close to the skin, soft. Ideal for warm climates, the hotter the better for performance. Versatile for daily summer use: office, gym, romantic date, or hanging out with friends, but not for clubs because it will die without a trace.

  • Good fragrance, does the job and not much more. Recommended only if you can get it cheap (I got 100ml for $30). It’s serious, best for 25+, but versatile; you’ll never feel out of place. Excellent for summer, it’s not cloying or heavy even with many sprays. The downside is the sillage is weak and longevity is too, it doesn’t project as I expected. With many sprays, it fades in 20-30 minutes and starts to get compliments. I expected something fruitier, but honestly, it’s not that noticeable. Smells like mentholated shaving cream with a touch of apple. The bottle is excellent, eye-catching, and heavy. I won’t buy it again, but at a good price, it’s a good purchase.

  • Another one joining the Aventus DNA train. The opening is super fruity, the apple is noticeable all the time, and the base is earthy and sweet. It doesn’t evolve much further. Smells great, obviously, that’s the magic of this DNA. But the performance is low; I have to reapply before two hours. There are better options at the same price. Definitely not recommending it for that reason.
