Blind buy that worked out. It smells like candied almonds to me, delicious. It’s very Oriental and nocturnal, unisex. It’s very similar to Chemin d’amande.

  • I think the bottle is more spectacular than the scent. I detect vague sweet, vanilla-coated notes. It’s like a generic, sweet, oriental mess. Since I already have perfumes with this profile but more personal, I don’t need it. Luckily, I bought a decant.

  • I was fooled by the photo, which is very pretty. It smells good, but it’s nothing new; it has the DNA of Lattafa’s Khamrah, though with an acidic almond touch. If you already own Khamrah, this is a redundant purchase.

  • Mehwish smells exactly what I imagined an Arabic perfume would be like before diving into the world. It’s a warm blend of nuts, orange blossom, and an indeterminate but very enveloping sweetness, probably from the honey, vanilla, and tonka. It’s elegant pastry with a subtle orange blossom note, like in the Roscón de Reyes. After all, almost all sweets in Spain have Arabic DNA, so it smells familiar. Within the gourmand genre, it’s not one-note; it has nuances and smells like having bergamot tea with a baklava in an Oriental café. The almond and pistachio touch is more ‘green’ (not the usual icy pistachio) with a tiny hint of candied notes, especially if you layer it with another gourmand. Regarding Khamra, Mehwish lacks the boozy note and spices; it’s lighter, but they could be cousins. Don’t let bad reviews fool you—it all depends on skin and taste: try it, let it settle, and decide. The bottle and packaging are spectacular, collection-worthy. A 10/10 layering partner with Dulzura.

Super sweet opening without getting too heavy on the nutty, vanilla-coated notes that dominate: almonds and pistachios. It has an innocent creaminess with a dark, addictive base. The honey seems to drizzle over those nuts, giving it a milky touch and a just-right bitter edge. Tonka bean vanilla and an ambered base warm up a layer of orange blossom and a hint of bergamot. Smells like a delicious dessert. At three hours, the honey and vanilla gain more strength. Normally, almonds and pistachio aren’t my thing, but here they are perfect with the honey, orange blossom (which I’m obsessed with), vanilla, and tonka. Projection and sillage are notable; it lasts 11-12 hours on skin and weeks on clothes. Ideal for fall-winter. A fantastic unisex night perfume, seductive, and I highly recommend it.

Very sweet opening, but not cloying, where I sense many honeyed and vanilla-coated nuts, with almonds standing out, though they are part of a blend with pistachios. A sweetness and creaminess that seems innocent, but has a dark and addictive base. The honey is like it’s drizzling abundantly over the almonds and pistachios, giving the fragrance a slightly milky character, but also very slightly bitter, just right. Vanilla and tonka bean always accompany, feeling like an ambered and warm aroma on a bed of orange blossom flowers and, very weakly, bergamot zest. It seems like a very rich little dessert. At the third hour, that rich honey, vanilla, and tonka bean pump up with more force over those nuts. Normally, I don’t like the pistachio note in fragrances, nor do I like almonds much, but here they are so well-worked with the other notes that I love them, such as the honey, the orange blossom (which fascinates me), the vanilla, and the tonka bean, making it a very beautiful aroma as a whole. Projection and sillage are quite perceptible in the first 3 hours, lasting 11-12 hours on my skin and weeks on clothes. Ideal for fall-winter. A fantastic unisex, nocturnal, and seductive perfume that I highly recommend.
