  1. A fragrance I tried through a swap. Just a few milliliters were enough to confirm that, like the rest of the Rosine collection, the rose takes center stage. At first, there are sweet-and-sour citrus notes of bergamot and tangerine blending into a spicy symphony: cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, and pink pepper, which add warmth and a touch of heat. The amber base of musk and sandalwood makes it creamy and powdery without losing its warmth, while vetiver and cedar bring that woody, earthy note that any worthy rose must have. I’d wear it in the shoulder season or cold weather, wrapped in a wool coat or a cashmere scarf. Although it’s soft, it’s long-lasting and the trail is noticeable. It reminds me of Rose de Taif by Perris Monte Carlo due to the shared citrus, musk, and nutmeg notes, though I see Rose de Taif as more unisex and suited for heat, whereas Majalis feels more feminine, powdery, and perfect for autumn-winter. I’m eager to see all the bottles in this collection and try every rose combination, like a true soliflore.
