I’m a certified bartender, and this brand caught my attention because their perfumes are olfactory versions of classic cocktail recipes. I got a sample of the Mai Tai and tested it against two real cocktails I made; oh surprise! The scent was identical, even though the notes didn’t match the actual ingredients. Then I did the reverse: I swapped the notes for real ingredients—lemon juice for the citrus, grenadine syrup for the red berries, pear and pineapple juice, plus white and gold rum… and oh my goodness! The smell was exactly the same.
