It opens fresh and fruity, sweet without being cloying, but quickly evolves into something woody and pleasant with vanilla at the base. I see it as better for cooler seasons and very sensual for nights. I love the bottle, even though the cap is plastic, it fits well and doesn’t fall off. It’s worth it for the low price and I don’t have anything similar in my collection. I think it will be a new favorite. It’s a clone of Hugo Boss Alive.
I bought it blind and I don’t have anything like it, since fruity perfumes are trendy and I’m not a fan. At first sniff, I thought: wow! It’s soft yet deep, you can tell the plum and vanilla with a masculine touch I absolutely love (I prefer men’s scents). You can feel the base notes, it has personality, and it’s not one of those mass-market perfumes. We’ll see how it settles on my skin over time.
I bought it blind and it was a complete success. In the dry-down, it reminds me of Vivienne Westwood’s Boudoir, that one that’s no longer sold. It’s not a clone, but it has that powdery, masculine, and spice-filled-in-red-velvet vibe. It’s a delight that evolves on the skin and never disappoints. It changes a lot from the first spray to hours later. I wish it lasted longer, but for this price, it’s perfect. Congratulations to Jeanne Arthes, another gem.
I was browsing the perfumery looking for something and stumbled upon this bottle at an unbeatable price. Not feeling too adventurous, I gave it a try and what a surprise! It smells of wood and plum, but with a sweet vanilla twist at the end. After a few hours, I kept thinking of Moschino Cheap and Chic, which is almost identical but for a fraction of the cost. It lasted over 8 hours, perfect for winter or cool days. I bought it along with Jeanne Arthes’ Macaroon Amande, a brand I’ve fallen in love with for its quality and price. A total hit.
