  I was looking for something similar to Jo Malone’s Dark Amber & Ginger Lily, but this is nothing like it. It’s sweet wood (guaiac), tobacco, and citrus; it sounds more like Mugler or JPG. It feels like a summary of all those cloyingly sweet men’s perfumes flooding the streets. For about €5, the performance was brutal: amazing projection and longevity. I found it too masculine (more than I could handle), so I sold it. Great for a casual winter night. Pleasant: 6/10 Interesting: 6/10 Versatile: 6/10 Original: 6/10.

  Cheap Italian drugstore potion. Forget the notes—it’s synthetic and so cloyingly sweet it makes you nauseous. Smells like a strong room freshener that fades in minutes with zero sillage. Terrible quality. The opaque aluminum bottle hides the level, and in my case, it’s nowhere near 100ml; it’s a scam. You can buy them online for €6.50, but they aren’t worth it for the quality or the deception; you can get Nikes for under €3 that smell better.
