It’s a loaded, bitter, roasted, and acidic espresso, with roses that sweeten without masking the coffee and a base of smoky woods. It’s minimalist; it doesn’t copy kopi luwak but instead perfumes an espresso in an incredible way. Maybe it won’t please everyone because it goes against 2024 trends. It opens bitter and roasted with an acidic touch, perhaps from cherries. Then it evolves to show more rose and wood, but the coffee dominates, shifting from roasted to sour and sweet. It reminds me of 80s perfumery, like Ted Lapidus Black Soul, due to that mix of sweet florals and bitterness. It’s not animalic and doesn’t have whiskey. Longevity and projection exceed 8 hours. At $20, it’s worth it. I recommend it for winter or autumn, or if you like classics without smelling like fruit or gum.
A loaded, bitter, roasted, and slightly acidic espresso, with roses that sweeten just enough without hiding the coffee, sitting on a base of smoky woods. That’s what it smells like. It’s a minimalist perfume that doesn’t try to mimic ‘real’ kopi luwak but instead elevates an espresso to something incredible. I have to say, it might not appeal to everyone because it goes against current 2024 trends. It opens bitter, roasted, and with a tiny acidic coffee kick; some might find it too intense or sharp. I think there’s a note giving it that acidity, maybe cherries. Then it evolves to show more rose and wood underneath, but the coffee remains dominant, transitioning from that roasted bitterness to a mix of sour and sweet. Personally, it reminds me a lot of 80s perfumery; when it dries down, it feels like some Ted Lapidus scents (Black Soul Imperial/Pour Homme), probably due to the blend of sweet florals and bitterness. In my opinion, it’s NOT animalic and doesn’t have whiskey or other liquor. Longevity and projection are super, lasting more than 8 hours. At $20, getting a perfume like this is worth it. I’d buy it again, though I clarify it’s not for everyone. I’d also recommend it only for winter/autumn or cold climates. Maybe if you like classic perfumery or don’t mind avoiding sweet fruit, gum, or those kinds of scents, this will suit you as much as it does me.
It opens with dog fur and sweet whiskey on top, like fermenting malt liquor; interesting and unconventional. The box is divine. Notes: coffee, roses, and oud. That mix smells animalic; the coffee adds warmth for cloudy, cold days, while the rose stings constantly. If you wear it above 65°F (18°C), it smells like wet dog, almost toxic in the heat. Test it before buying; it’s not for everyone due to the sharp opening. Even though it’s from the Coffee collection, don’t expect a latte, but rather a burnt espresso.
Very animalic (hence the name kopi luwak), heavy on oud, coffee, suede, and while there are floral notes, I can’t really detect the rose. Potent, but it’s an aroma that gets tiring easily; not for daily wear.
One of my favorites from Fragrance World’s coffee collection. Smells like exotic coffee with an animalic nuance that requires bravery to enjoy. On my skin, the coffee is present all the time, with patchouli adding depth. The rose and oud are shy, acting as a backdrop that balances without stealing the spotlight. It has great projection and longevity. It’s perfect for cold climates, autumn, and winter—very cozy and gourmand. A delight for those who love personality-packed coffee perfumes.
One of my favorites from Fragrance World’s coffee collection. Smells like exotic coffee with an animalic twist that isn’t for everyone: you need guts to stick with it and enjoy the origin, haha. On my skin, the coffee is there from start to finish, always deepened and given character by patchouli. I barely notice the rose and oud; they’re more like a subtle backdrop that balances without stealing the show. It has great projection and longevity. I see it as perfect for cold climates, especially autumn and winter, because it’s so cozy and gourmand. Definitely a treat for those who love personality-packed coffee perfumes.
