  Super soapy. Want to smell clean? Use this. It has good performance and you’ll smell like soap all day; after a few hours, the vetiver does its thing.

  It’s not a bad perfume: it opens soapy and very camphoraceous, but the dry-down smells like a sauna towel, as if you’d slathered yourself in eucalyptus and jumped into a shower. It’s not unpleasant and smells decent, but I wouldn’t buy it; I think the brand has much better options.

  The opening of Koala is like eucalyptus throat lozenges: sharp yet sweet, with pine, projecting well. Then it fades quickly, leaving behind a green vetiver, geranium fougère, and a very diluted tea, all clinging to the skin. Over time, the camphor returns, ending up soapy and woody, like that classic hand soap with a hint of eucalyptus. On my skin, aside from the initial hit, it has no projection or longevity; after six hours, it smells like nothing. It might be the eucalyptus, but it reminds me of a spa—more of a home fragrance than a personal scent. If it came as an essential oil, I’d buy it, but it doesn’t smell like a person. Still, it’s more masculine and mature, suited for mid-season or casual summer wear. Pleasant: 5/10 Interesting: 7/10 Versatile: 8/10 Original: 7/10
