  A classic of classics, quite strong and one of those that only generates love or hate. Personally, I’ve always found it interesting, but used without moderation, it becomes annoying due to its strength. I consider it woody and very masculine; though I have to be honest and say I haven’t smelled it in years, it’s still in my mind. It’s one of those fragrances hard to forget due to its identity and marked personality.

  Jean Pascal Pour Homme is a very 80s-cut fragrance, ambered, animalic, and woody. It has heavy longevity and projection, plus good skin fixation. In Colombia, it was a hit about 18 years ago among young professionals and students, thanks to its striking leather-covered bottle and acceptable quality scent. Olfactorily, even though they don’t share many notes, it has similarities to classics like Halston Z-14, Jules by Christian Dior, and Coca For Men. This Colombian haute couture house seems to be the only one with its creations listed on Fragrantica. Fragrance: 9/10, Longevity: 10/10, Projection: 10/10, Price: 10/10.

  A perfume that taught the world in the 80s how to combine pineapple, green notes (which sometimes smell like cannabis to me), woods, and something smoky. When I tried Armaf’s Club de Nuit Intense and felt that smoky pineapple, I immediately remembered this fragrance. Jean Pascal by Jean Pascal is less smoky, more green, with incense and vetiver in the dry down that make it more wearable. By the way, I’m testing the longevity between this and Club de Nuit Intense, and I’ll tell you this one is winning the battle.

  A VERY good perfume. I don’t understand how people in Colombia jump on the hype to buy bad catalog perfumes when Jean-Pascal offers quality, variety, and a good price. It has projection and sillage well above moderate. It’s an 80s and 90s vibe with green, smoky, and spicy notes. Many people wore it at my university, but I think it suits someone aged 30 or 40 better. I see it as day and night wear for winter and fall. From this house, my favorites aren’t even on Fragrantica: Brume (nocturnal and seductive) and de Nuit (daytime and fresh). I recommend them.

  This is the most strident, piercing, and wild version of Portos by Balenciaga. It has excellent skin performance, beastly projection, and is a great value. Ideal for lovers of 80s-style fragrances like Kouros (minus the aldehydes and jasmine that give it cleanliness) or Portos by Balenciaga. I personally don’t like it much due to that ingredient I think is vetiver; paired with certain notes, it gets tiring, like what happened with Kouros or Guerlain’s Vetiver in the heat. What I do love is when it softens, leaving a buttery scent. Sorry, I’m not great with technical reviews; I just write my impressions and subjective opinions.

  Not your average perfume, definitely not for everyone. At first, it smells like dry saliva, but once it dries down, it turns sweet and rich. I bought a 50ml decant; while it’s good, I wouldn’t buy it for myself.
