I’ve been dying to try this new release from House of Insomnia, and it finally crossed my path. Upon spraying, it hits with a metallic, sharp saffron that I absolutely love, giving it a very modern edge. Then comes the pear—ripe, juicy, and incredibly appetizing, with a green twist from the cassis. On my skin, it lasts all day with minimal change, gradually wrapping itself in rose and muguet, becoming more floral and feminine. The result is powdery, sexy, and decadent. In the dry down, it leaves a trail of vanilla, musk, sandalwood, and patchouli, adding that sexy, long-lasting finish. It’s totally different from its predecessor, Insomnia, which was more gourmand. It has niche-level quality, longevity, and projection, comparable to Erba Pura by Xerjoff, though the notes are distinct. To me, it’s a stunning blend of Baccarat Rouge and Erba Pura.
