I expected a heavy 90s vintage chypre—powerful, with aldehydes, decadent flowers, frankincense, moss, dominant sandalwood, and a musky/soapy/powdery touch, something dense like Diva, Rumba, or Fendi. And yes, it is vintage, but with its own personality. It’s not dense or powdery; it’s bright and cheerful, ideal for everyday wear. Unisex and elegant, with flawless harmony and spices in perfect measure. The laurel is present but lacks bitterness thanks to cinnamon, vanilla, and honey, which add sweetness without overpowering. The honey is light and blends perfectly with the flowers and amber. The floral heart is a dream for carnation lovers, highlighted by its green note alongside moss, frankincense, sandalwood, and cedar. It’s a chypre of the old school—less spicy than Obsession/Tabú, less darkly sweet than Coco/Maxim’s, reminiscent of Asja and Fendi but less daring. It’s like the younger sister: less mature, more angelic and approachable. It shares the DNA of its older sisters with a dominant carnation that captivates me. The only flaw is the weak trail and longevity (about 4 hours), but at this price, it’s worth it for daily use or short outings. Being more discreet, it’s great for enjoying privately or going unnoticed. It holds its own unique space in the collection.
