  • I couldn’t resist. I wasn’t going to buy any Lacoste, but temptation got the better of me. The opening is explosive: acidic and sweet-and-sour lemony fruity notes, very unconventional, perhaps due to the limoncello. Super fresh sensation and full of energy. It has good sillage, but the lemony notes last only about 10 minutes before projection drops and it changes completely. Then aquatic notes come in, putting the green-lemony ones in the background, less sharp and richer. The next 20 minutes is the perfect combination between Lacoste Jaune (without that plastic note) and Essential (green). This lasts from an hour until four, leaving behind the typical musk, cedar, and aquatic residue, that fresh bitter citrus aroma. I liked it a lot; it’s very sporty, fresh, clean, and summery, but with low sillage and medium longevity of about 6 hours. Note: Don’t be fooled by the pleasant start, as it lasts only a few minutes. If you like Essential or Jaune, this Fraiche will be better. BUT it can also be an almost equal purchase with small, subtle but pleasant differences.

  • The Eau de Lacoste L.12.12 Eau Fraiche is citrusy, aquatic, green, and musky. It has a fresh opening with a very pleasant aquatic sensation. A few minutes in, you can perceive green notes, which seem to be Lacoste’s trademark, like the grass accord in Match Point and Essential. That green keeps the freshness until the dry down, which becomes more musky and slightly woody. It’s versatile, suitable for daytime activities and warm weather, bringing freshness and energy. Better for casual outings and outdoors. To be fresh, its longevity has been better than expected; on me, it lasted close to 8 hours. In summary, I liked it, it exceeded my expectations, and although it’s not a masterpiece, it fulfills its purpose. It’s fresh, versatile, and if you can get it at a good price, it’s an excellent daily option.

  • On my skin, it’s spot-on similar to Allure Home Edition Blanche, and honestly, I like this one much more. The limoncello note becomes super creamy, and after about half an hour, it develops a delicious lemon emperor cookie scent! 10/10.

Nothing new under the sun. It’s citrusy, fresh, and perfect for summer; it belongs to the L.12.12 collection, which pays homage to Lacoste’s pique polo shirts. It’s very simple, generic, and, like any eau fraîche, has poor sillage and longevity. It’s pleasant, a good option for summer days, a weekend trip with friends, or just to enjoy on your own. It doesn’t bring anything new or have the power to make it special. Would I buy it again? No. For some reason, it reminds me of Benetton’s United Dreams Aim High, which gives the same performance for less money.

I think it has similarities to Dolce&Gabbana’s Light Blue, though in some nuances it reminded me of John Varvatos Artisan Blu (only in certain facets). I don’t consider it a clone, just similar in facets to those fragrances. It’s quite fresh, but it seems to suffer from the same lack of projection and skin longevity as most perfumes from this house. It’s better for everyone to test it on their own skin and evaluate the performance, since skin pH varies. That said, it’s a delight to the nose. Note: I own Chanel Allure Home Edition Blanche, and it didn’t remind me of it at all.

  • A friend sold it to me at a good price. It’s a perfume I like, but it’s not a big deal. It’s very versatile in enclosed spaces and has decent performance. Honestly, I was surprised it wasn’t a typical fresh sporty perfume, but for daily wear, I find it a bit dated. It’s not my taste, and several colleagues are right. It’s quite citrusy with a herbal and bitter touch. As a collector, let me give my opinion: don’t buy it, there are better options.

  • A friend sold it to me at a good price, and honestly, it’s a perfume I like but it’s not a big deal; it’s very versatile in enclosed spaces and has decent longevity. To be honest, I was surprised it wasn’t one of those typical fresh sporty perfumes, but for daily use, I see it as outdated. It’s not my taste, and several colleagues might be right. It’s well-citrusy with a herbal and bitter touch, but as I said, it’s excellent for sports. I’m a collector, so let me give my opinion: don’t buy it, there are better options.

  • I absolutely love it. It’s a super pleasant fragrance and nothing invasive. It’s become my go-to gym scent. The smell is very close and doesn’t bother or project too much. The longevity is just right for working out, sweating, showering, and then switching to something else for work.
