  According to the official website, the notes are: top of thyme and cinnamon; heart of incense, ebony, and sage; base of ambergris, opoponax, and benzoin. This cheap perfume caught me off guard because, even though the official notes weren’t quite right, I was still drawn to it. I didn’t expect much from this junk for the price, but I have to admit: it smells incredible. It’s versatile, warm, resinous, and woody, with a controlled sweetness that made me so happy I ended up wanting to try the OUD from the collection. Upon applying it, I immediately thought of Opium pour Homme from 1995; then you realize it’s not that one, but they share that creamy sweet spot that the current version no longer has. I liked this take, even though anyone not stupid would notice right away they’re playing in different leagues (I’m talking about the current version, of course; otherwise, they’d be rivals). Setting that aside, it’s a somewhat linear scent, but not boring; even though it smells the same from start to finish, it has countless nuances that come and go, giving it dynamism. Its soul is linear, but it’s beautiful and pleasant. It smells sweet, warm, resinous, balsamic, and spiced, and for some reason, I also detect slight liquorice and fruity nuances. It’s not opulent or intense, but soft and super versatile, perfect for any season and time of day. The longevity is very good, about 6 hours with 4 sprays, and given the price, you can’t ask for more. Highly recommended for those looking for sweet oriental scents in the style of the current Opium (it’s not the same, but similar).

Ridiculous price and it caught me off guard: I was drawn to the notes (though I later realized they’re different, I might still like them), but at this price, I didn’t expect much from this brew and had to swallow my pride. It smells versatile, warm, resinous, woody, with a controlled sweetness that left me blown away; I’m already thinking about picking up the OUD. At first spray, Opium 1995 came to mind, then you realize it’s not, but they share that creamy sweet spot the current version no longer has. I liked this take, even though anyone smart will notice right away they’re playing in different leagues (I’m talking about the old version; otherwise, they’d be nearly identical). Setting that aside, it’s something linear, I mean, because although it smells the same from start to finish, there are countless nuances that come and go, making it dynamic, even if its soul is linear; a beautiful and pleasant scent. It’s sweet, warm, resinous, balsamic, spicy, and for some reason I can’t quite place, also slightly alcoholic and fruity, subtle but perceptible. It’s not opulent or intense; on the contrary, it’s soft and super versatile, perfect for any season and time of day. Lasting power is very good, about 6 hours with 4 sprays and moderate sillage; for the price, you can’t ask for more. Highly recommended for those who like sweet oriental scents in the style of current Opium (it’s not the same, but similar).

  Brutal fragrance that Darkbeat recommended to me. It’s sensual, warm, and relaxing all at once. A surprising scent, resinous, with a dark and solid heart; discreet but it sticks. Another gem at a price that doesn’t sleep at night, which is much appreciated.
