  While it has other notes for a sensitive nose, the leather is the defining and dominant element—a bold, wonderful fragrance with a very pleasant and sensual leather scent. Not for summer, but perfect for autumn and winter, and those early spring days. It’s one of the few that hits the leather note with both beauty and impact, leaving no room for doubt. A great scent, as are most of Armani Privé’s offerings.

  Cuir Noir is a beautiful and elegant leather with a very well-structured sweet oud base, with a European character that gives a refined and magnetic sensation, capable of trapping you in minutes. Perfect and discreet for daytime, it projects well without being overwhelming. It’s like smelling a wallet made of the finest leather, although yes, a bit pricey. Rating: 8.

  My first Armani Privé perfume was Rouge Malachite; I’m not usually into florals, but this one broke my rules. Since I loved it so much, I looked for another from the house. I’m lucky to have a perfumery nearby with everything to try. The first time, I asked the sales associate what her favorite was. Even though taste is personal, she knows better than anyone. She didn’t hesitate for a second: ‘My favorite is Cuir Noir.’ She handed me the spray, and I nearly fainted; what a masterpiece, what an intoxicating and seductive perfume, what class and level, what magic… Then I tried Musc Shamal, and at first glance, I liked it more because it was stronger and had an incredible musk. But I went back to testing them on my skin to decide, and Cuir Noir took all the votes. It blended with my skin, making me feel amazed, ecstatic, a living goddess and sensual… I love it! I understood why it was her favorite, and now it’s mine. The projection isn’t huge, maybe a meter, you have to get close to notice, but it wasn’t a problem; its discretion allows me to wear it anywhere and anytime. It’s a flagship perfume, very expensive, that smells like luxury and majesty. The longevity is long, 12 hours or more. What does it smell like? To elegant and delicious leather with a sexy spiced rose, embraced by a soft vanilla that doesn’t steal the spotlight, and a captivating oud. I swear it has cocoa too; at some point, I feel it’s chocolatey.

  Armani Privé Cuir Noir: Let me start by saying ‘quality comes with a price tag.’ My wife asked for this for our anniversary, and since it’s unisex and I didn’t have many excuses to say no, I’m gifting it to her. What an incredible fragrance, a true delight. The leather is subtle and meticulously crafted; you fall in love with it immediately. Plus, it features one of the best vanillas I’ve ever tried, blending perfectly. It’s super versatile; whether worn by a woman or a man, it exudes power, making you feel superior, comfortable, distinguished, and prestigious. I had no idea what to expect, and it was a total hit. I now understand why it’s pricey, and honestly, it doesn’t feel that expensive given what it offers. It’s not about paying the bare minimum, but being fair: if something deserves it, you pay for it. I’ll definitely be repurchasing. Scent: 11. Projection: Moderate to good. Longevity: 8 hours. Price: High, but worth it. Recommended.
