  For those seeking scents, Lacoste isn’t a ‘must’ except for their first men’s fragrance, created by Jean Patou, which was spectacular. The reissue is recommended; P&G did a great job and 90% is faithful. Cool Play is also gone, unfortunately, but it deserves fame for its scent and quality. The opening is like bitter orange and sweet bergamot, over a base of vetiver and cilantro. It smells beautiful, with a mentholated touch and an incredible tonic effect. The fresh vibe lasts an hour, then shifts to a blue variant like Style in Play—less fruity and slightly less youthful. It lasts 3 hours on skin and projects well. It’s one of the brand’s best flankers; the ‘cool’ idea is more conceptual than aquatic. The scent is vibrant, positive, and almost seductive. Perfect for spring and summer, it also works well at night. Hard to find, but if you spot it, don’t miss out.

  MarcusRS’s review is spot on. I still have 20ml of the original I bought right when it launched. It’s a shame it’s been discontinued; I refused to use it up until I confirmed the news. I just blind-tested Voyage Sport and was surprised by how similar it is—they share notes. The Zara 8.0 is similar too, but to me, it smells more like mango and melon overall.
