Curious about the notes, I bought a sample and expected something else. Honestly, this Chypre Vanille doesn’t suit me at all; it’s one of the perfumes I dislike the most. It’s strong and long-lasting, but the blend feels sharp and unharmonious, almost shrill. On my skin, it smells very synthetic and slightly plastic, so annoying that I showered almost immediately to get rid of it. It’s a bitter-sweet mix that doesn’t blend well and ultimately doesn’t work. It’s targeted at a female audience, nothing unisex, and basically meant for winter.
I love it! It’s addictive and so far the best Montale I’ve tried. People ask me multiple times how good I smell. It has incredible longevity, even lingering on clothes after washing. It’s the house’s top pick, though I do find it a bit pricey.
