BRILLANT AS SILVER: I first wore this in 2000, and if you know Carlo Corinto, you’ll know it shares that top lavender with Rouge, but Silver is sweeter and more citrusy on the opening. If you compare it to other brands, remember that Mont Blanc Legend has the same DNA with lavender, geranium, and bergamot. It has a moderate trail, but be careful: if you overdo the sprays, it becomes cloying. However, it has more punch than Legend, and with a good fixative, it leaves a clean scent for hours. In my opinion, it shines more in spring or autumn than in extreme heat. What a shame that Carlo Corinto isn’t making this classic anymore; Nuit and Blue are good, but they’ve drifted away from the magic of the 80s and 90s. Recommendation: 4 to 6 sprays to spread out the intensity. Fixative: 8. Trail: Moderate. Intensity: Moderate. Award: ‘We’ll always miss this’.
