Pure powerhouse of a fragrance, bold and sophisticated. It’s noticeable, though some men might find it leans a bit feminine. Vanilla and iris take the lead here; the iris is subtle at first but soon steals the show in the blend. The main notes are that ethereal, musky vanilla, a soft and wearable iris, and benzoin. I expected to detect more tonka bean on my skin, but it doesn’t come through as much. People compare it to Celine’s Black Tie, which is discontinued, but given the shared nuances, I think it’s a solid alternative. Ultimately, the quality speaks for itself and it’s worth the investment. It has great sillage and lasting power.
