Descripción

Beso Canalla by Beso Beach Perfumes is an oriental woody fragrance for men and women. Launched in 2018, this olfactory composition was created by nose Annick Menardo. The fragrance pyramid unfolds with top notes of saffron, neroli, Sicilian bergamot, and lavender; a sweet heart of sugar, heliotrope, and helianthus; and a warm, persistent base of amber, sandalwood, and Indonesian patchouli leaves.

Top-tier ingredients; at first spray, lots of neroli, saffron, and lavender that vanish in 5 minutes to reveal toasted sugar with creamy sandalwood and amber. How rich! Warm, spicy, and tasty for winter; I think it has a hidden boozy note. Despite being dark, it’s not heavy or repulsive, well-balanced, and unisex. I bought it in Chile at Cruz y Valencia. It has a slight resemblance to my Side Effect but is superior, especially in sillage.

  • Got a mini and tested it one night at home. Smells like sweet wood with that boozy touch others mention. I liked it, though it sounded familiar to another fragrance I couldn’t place. You can tell it has a good nose; it’s good, just not very original. If it were designer price, I’d buy it, but at the official price, I’m not even thinking about it; a total bust.

  • This smells very similar to Serge Lutens’ Chergui. The difference is that Chergui has great sillage and longevity with quality ingredients, while Beso Canalla after an hour smells like skin-level and you have to press your nose against it to notice anything. It’s not worth paying this price when you can get Chergui for a bit more and have it trail all day. It’s not worth spending almost €170 for 100ml when you can get something better for a few euros more. P.S.: It smells good; I notice sweet tobacco (even though it’s not listed), sugar, amber, and very subtle lavender. Unfortunately, it’s weak; go for Chergui, it crushes it.

  • Many lights and shadows in this kiss… The good: delicious scent, one of my favorites. It has the Side Effect DNA (without sharing notes): warm, sweet with a dark and sexy twist. Even though it doesn’t list alcohol, it has that boozy touch. It’s creamy, sensual, and addictive. The bad: it smells familiar the moment you sniff it. The worst is the development: non-existent sillage and ridiculous longevity. I can’t stand it, especially the performance in this type of fragrance.

  • All the Besos Beach ones fail on performance; it’s a disaster. I tried Beso Negro recently and it barely lasts a breath, plus they’re ridiculously expensive.
