Descripción
Beso Negro by Beso Beach Perfumes is a woody chypre fragrance for men and women. Launched in 2018, this olfactory composition was created by perfumer Christophe Raynaud. In its opening, the fragrance unfolds violet leaves, Guatemalan cardamom, and green notes. The heart reveals bergamot, iris root, Indonesian patchouli leaves, and violet, while the base settles on leather, Virginia cedar, sandalwood, and ambroxan.

Exquisite fragrance; I’d give it 10 if it weren’t a clone of Le Labo’s Santal 33. I own both and can’t tell them apart: same ingredients (just claimed differently), same aroma but… different noses? It’s the same parent company sold with a different story, though it is a bit more affordable.
I tested it in Formentera during the first week of September. I agree with Zerlotus about its huge similarity to Santal 33. It has body and quality (not for nothing, Carner Barcelona signs it), but its €165 price tag is outrageous. Of the three Beso perfumes, I’d choose Canalla by far; even though none of them are perfect, in my opinion, it’s a masterpiece.
It’s like a Santal 33 with more violet. Performance and quality are excellent. For the price, it’s worth more than Santal 33, but I just don’t like that strong violet note; if you do, give it a try!
I tested it months ago, several times; unfortunately, due to the price, I don’t recommend it, especially in warm weather (spring-summer), as it didn’t perform well. Projects maybe 1h/1h30 and then stays very close to the skin. The scent is very rich; I’ve never tried Santal 33 so I’m not sure how similar they are, but the price-to-performance ratio is way off. Edit: after testing Santal 33, it’s “more or less” that profile but softer and fresher.
Given the graphic name, I expected unusual, human notes… I wonder if the person who named it knows what a black kiss is. I have to go try it…
What I notice most is the violet and cipriol; they overwhelm me. I can smell it all day, over 8 hours until I finish work and want to shower because those notes are so suffocating. I sprayed it 6 times on my wrists and clothes and couldn’t take it… Definitely don’t like it, and this type of aroma just tires me out…
Rich scent, woody, talc-like, with a leather base; that’s the patchouli my novice nose picks up. It’s versatile except in extreme temperatures. Lasts just enough (6 hours longevity, 1 hour projection). Don’t buy it blindly; test it well and don’t over-spray because it can become overwhelming. Rating: 8.7/10
This fragrance is a total olfactory experience, transporting me to a wooden cabin in an exclusive mountain setting, with fresh breezes among giant trees and far from everything. It smells like freshly cut wood, something I can’t quite explain—what a great perfume!
It’s a total olfactory experience: it smells like stepping into a wooden cabin in the mountains, with a fresh breeze and far from everything. It has that freshly cut wood scent that’s impossible to explain—it’s a hit!
