Bare Summer from LAFCO New York is a 2026 newcomer in the musky floral woody family, made for women and men. Perfumer Arnoud Winter keeps it stripped back and bright rather than sweet or tropical.
It moves from green citrus and herbs into white flowers and rose with cool spice, then settles into soft musk, warm amber and pale woods with a dry mineral touch.
The opening blends myrtle, bergamot, quince, petitgrain and coriander. Myrtle and coriander feel crisp and herbal, bergamot lifts the mix, quince adds juicy flesh, and petitgrain brings a clean bitter edge.
The heart pairs ginger, cardamom, magnolia, rose and jasmine. The spices stay snappy and dry instead of heavy. Magnolia is creamy yet airy, rose stays fresh, and jasmine forms a sheer white veil.
The base combines ambrette, amber, musk, driftwood, sand and patchouli. Ambrette musk melts into mellow amber, while driftwood and sand suggest sun-smoothed wood without a literal beach accord, grounded lightly by patchouli.
