Rich perfume. The opening leans a bit masculine, but a few minutes later it’s totally unisex. A very original fragrance.
I bought this fragrance looking for something distinctive, very masculine, with projection and presence. Note: no other scent had generated so many positive comments from people. Cardamomo is the king here, dominant and persistent. I live in a stifling tropical climate with a heat index of 40 degrees, so I only wear it in air-conditioned places. Evolution: between 30 and 60 minutes it smells like dark chocolate, while the tobacco remains present and constant. Longevity and projection: it’s exceptional; it’s noticeable on clothes for 2-3 days after. Although it projects a lot, it’s not aggressive or invasive; it achieves a balance to be felt from a distance without suffocating. Recommendation: for the masculine type, it’s a must, but don’t buy blind. At first, it gave me some rejection and I had to get used to it, but it ended up becoming one of my favorites.
Today I stumbled upon this Colombian niche house and got so hooked on the collection’s story that I couldn’t resist smelling them. Aurora Pacific is a Pacific sunrise, and like the rest, it plays with contrasts. My expectations were sky-high and they were fully met. I won’t overcomplicate the notes, but it smells very similar to BOSS Bottled Absolu, except the leather lasts longer (something I’ve always missed in BBA). It has a woody and spicy contrast, but the first two hours are fresh and very masculine. Then the base opens up and boom: it turns unisex with an out-of-this-world vanilla and tonka bean, with a barely perceptible tobacco background. I give it a 10 for evolution because it delivered every contrast I expected. I won’t rate the scent itself because although I loved it and it’s close to my favorite (BBA), it’s not a blind buy. Performance 8: they went for an extract to ensure longevity, but that sacrifices the sillage, something I don’t usually see in these concentrations. In short, I fell in love with this perfume and its evolution. It’s great that quality like this is being made in Colombia.
