Just tested: it smells true to the original but with more intensity and depth. It’s punchier and lasts longer. That changes the game because the magic of the original was its fluidity and transparency; this is much more bold. It’s a cologne scent made to last better. For those of us who love ‘cologny-like’ aromas (Aqua di Genova, Alvarez Gomez, Herbs of Ibiza, 1447, Teddy Bear…), we were always frustrated by the longevity, so I appreciate the idea of making potent colognes that last longer.
An exquisite cologne, very natural, and it lasts longer than other luxury brands.
It’s a shame that Mr. Kurkdjian launches a perfume and then sells us all the versions he discarded as if they were new. They smell almost identical, with imperceptible changes. The scent is pleasant, like a teddy bear with clean sheets, but everything is very harsh and synthetic, and it fades quickly. This applies to all the ‘aqua’, ‘forte’, ‘medium forte’, and other names that guy has. What a mess with the labels.
