Repulsive perfume. Chemical opening, obvious rose, and an abominable animal/medicinal oud that smells like ammonia—sharp and aggressive. Unpleasant; it’s a flashback to the 80s/90s perfumes rich ladies wore to church. Over the top, potent, and ostentatious. The longevity and strength are enough to kill an army.
To me, it’s a clone of More Than Words. Period.
Top and base are powdery, woody rose. The pyramid notes feel off to me since Moon Aoud is its flanker. It’s gorgeous in the first 30 minutes, but I only recommend it if you love rose-heavy scents, because that’s all there is behind it.
It starts with a pleasant oud that doesn’t overpower the rest. It’s not pure citrus; those fruits add sweetness. The rose is fresh, nothing like grandma’s hairspray. Sandalwood and patchouli round it off with a sweet rose cream. Leather and powdery musk make it unisex and coherent, though more suited for 30+ than younger folks.
Explosive and very Montale—full-on rose and oud. Not for everyone, but it lasts 10 hours on skin and days on clothes. Forget it if it’s over 20 degrees. Quality/price is okay; with 4 sprays, it lasts years. Not versatile, so test before buying. To me, it’s brutal—nothing like this in designer fragrances.
