This perfume is a beast, elegant and from another dimension. Earthy, tar-like fragrance with oud wood and an amber heart that captivates. It left me speechless with its originality and uniqueness. It’s a dense, intense, opulent oil, almost like honey, with a naturalness that makes you cry from emotion. A 10 for Abdul Karim al Faransi. The opening is a bang of rough, hot earth, with a dirty woody base that leaves me ecstatic. Then, slowly, the amber sweetens a bit, but without being cloying; it’s dirty, woody amber, almost mossy, as if stuck to the tree. A work of art. The longevity is on another level—over 12 hours on skin with great projection. Due to its dark soul, it’s for cool climates and exclusively for night; not for daytime if the sun is shining. I recommend it 100% to those seeking powerful, characterful perfumes, the antithesis of generic scents. If you dare, order a sample on the official website for a ridiculous price and see what you think of current designer perfumes.
What is this, right? It’s a time bomb. Thanks to my spiritual advisor, Darkbeat, I took the plunge and bought a 3ml bottle. It’s so dense you’d want to smear it on toast. Sweet, ambered, animalic (reminded me a bit of Kouros), and super potent, just how I like it. Highly recommended. Just don’t expect generic or popular scents; this is another world.
This perfume is superb, elegant, and of an incredible class. It’s an earthy, tar-like fragrance with unmistakable woody reflections of oud and an amber heart that captivates. It dazzled me with its originality and how it steps outside current trends. It’s a punchy, intense, opulent oil, so dense it seems like honey, with a scent so natural it brings tears to your eyes. A 10 for Abdul Karim al Faransi. The opening is apocalyptic—a bang of rough, hot earth, with a dirty woody background that leaves me ecstatic. Then, slowly, it sweetens a bit due to the amber, which stays in the background, modulating the earth and oud, but making it clear that it’s the protagonist. It’s not sweet or cloying amber, which is very trendy nowadays; NO, it’s dirty, woody amber, almost mossy, close to the earth and in contact with the tree trunk. Incredibly natural, dark, and full of character. A work of art. The longevity is from another planet—over 12 hours on skin with great projection, extraordinary performance. Due to its intense and dark soul, it’s for cold or fresh climates and exclusively for night; I don’t think it’s a good option for the day, especially if the sun is beating down, though that’s subjective. I love it and recommend it 100% to those who like intense, powerful perfumes, the antithesis of generic perfumery. For the brave ones who dare, you can buy a sample on the official website for an irrisory price. Once you try it, you’ll tell me what you think of today’s designer perfumes and their prices.
What is this??? A time bomb. Thanks to my spiritual advisor (Darkbeat), I took the plunge and bought a 3ml bottle. It’s so dense you’d want to smear it on toast. Sweet, ambered, animalic (reminded me a bit of Kouros), and super potent, just how I like it. Highly recommended. Just don’t expect generic or popular scents. This is another world.
Hi everyone, important update: this perfume underwent a reformulation in 2018 that cut it down to half of what it used to be. I bought a sample back in August 2017 and left the review below; I loved it. It’s insane—powerful, intense, intoxicating, earthy, dirty, with a raw, natural amber. It’s a work of art. Before buying the bottle, I used up my 0.2ml sample more than five times and it barely lasted a day. Since the stock was running low, I grabbed a 3ml vial, and my joy turned to a pit. I spoke to Abdul Karim, who told me to wait a month for maceration. On January 21st, they notified me it was ready, so I bought the bottle and samples. The next day, while browsing the catalog, I saw they had created a new formulation to improve it, and I got scared because I loved it exactly as it was. I wrote to Abdul, and he said not to worry—it was the same perfume, just enhanced with a floral touch. I calmed down if he said so… Today it arrived. It has the same name, but it’s not fair; it’s not Amber Ash-Sheikh anymore. It could be a flanker, but it’s not what I smelled. You can detect differences in the background, but it’s not my perfume. They added floral notes, saffron, and spices that feel out of place. It still lasts long, but it lacks that raw power; they ruined a masterpiece. The opening smells like the original but diluted with saffron, which I don’t like, followed by herbal notes like grass that’s been walked over by a hundred cows—it smells like a stable, very fecal. Before, these were balanced and barely noticeable; now they’re prominent. After an hour or two, the original scent returns but weak and restrained. What a shame; it was an exotic oriental beauty. I wrote to Abdul expressing my frustration honestly, and he thanked me for my sincerity, saying he’d wait to hear from other users before deciding whether to revert to the old formula or stick with the new. Just saying: if you buy it now, you’re getting half of what I described before. I’m doing this to warn you so it doesn’t happen to you—I almost cried when I smelled what I received. Hope this rant helps someone. Happy Monday night.
Hey, it’s been 5 years since I last wrote anything like this. Darkbeat or anyone who knows the ins and outs: did they fix the 2018 mess, or did this beast get scrapped?? ‘^^
