  This perfume is magnificent, elegant, and of incredible class; an earthy, tar-like fragrance with unmistakable woody oud reflections and an amber heart that captivates. This scent has completely enchanted me—it’s so original and outside current trends. It’s a powerful, intense, and opulent oil that leaves no doubt about its quality, so dense it feels like honey. A 10 for Anthony Marmin. The opening is apocalyptic—a whoosh of rough, saffron-spiced, hot earth, with a dirty woody background that leaves me ecstatic; the naturalness of the notes is unbelievable, beyond words. Gradually, it sweetens just a bit thanks to the amber and a very subtle floral note; the amber stays in the background, toning down the earth and oud, but making it clear it’s the star. It’s not sweet, cloying, or excessively sugary amber—the trendy kind today—NO; it’s dirty, woody, almost mossy amber, close to the earth and touching the tree trunk, incredibly natural, dark, and full of character. A work of art. The longevity is out of this world, easily over 12 hours, with great projection for an oil, offering extraordinary performance. Due to its intense and dark soul, it’s best for cold or fresh climates and exclusively for night; I don’t think it’s a good option for daytime, especially when the sun is strong, though that’s subjective. I love it and recommend it 100% to those who enjoy intense, powerful perfumes with a strong personality—the antithesis of today’s generic perfumery.
